(~NERAL PLAN AN~NDI~NT N0. 39 BE DISAPPROVED
WF~REAS~ the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt a General Plan
by Resolution No. 63R-869, shoring the general description and extent of land uses
within the City and indicating the present belief of the City Counci.l as to possible
future development and redevelopment of lard rithin the Cityf and
W[~REAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive
a ver.ified Petition for Reclassification Noe 64-65-38, Nhich petition has implica-
tions on policies as expressed on said General Plans and
WI~REAS, in conJunction Nith the notice of the hearing on said reclassi-
fication, notice was aiso given regarding the consideration of an amendment to the
General Plan in the general location and vicinity of sub~ect property of said
reclassification~ and
~ WE~REAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the
Gity Hall in the City of Anaheim on September 28~ 1964, at 2e00 o'clock P,M.,
notice of said public hearinq having been duly given as required by law and in
accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider
avidence for and against said Amendment to the General Plan and said proposed
Petition for Reclassification to investigate and make findings and recommendations
in aonnectian thereMith~ and
Wt~FtEAS, said Commission after due inspection, investigation~ and study
made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and
reports offered at said hearing~ DOES E~REBY FIND
1.. That the present general description and extent of land cses
in the aforementionedā¢area do adequately represent past and
current City policies.regarding possible future develocment
of.said general area bounded on the north by a lin~ 300 feet
north of La.Palma Avenue, on the east by a line 325 feet east
of Acacia Street, on the soUtn by La Palma Avenue, and on the
west by a line 675 foet west of Acacia Street.
2o That no evidence was presented.at said heartng which would
~ustify the City Planning Commission recom~ending a change in
the above.mentioned policies to the City Council.
3o That Exhibit "A" of General Plan Ameadment No. 39 does not
constitute an acceptable alternative .to current policies as
iilustr.ated on the General Plan,.because the approved use was
too specific in nature-aad too small in .area and would set a
precedent for commercial development on the east side of Acacia
Street.

NGW, TF~REFORE, BH IT RESOLNED ā¢lhat the City Planning Commission of the
City of Anaheim does hereby recommend to the City Council of the Gity of Anaheim
that subject General Plan Amendment be disapproved on the basis bf the aforementioned
findings.
TF~ FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this 8th day of
