3. ?hat the proposed reclassification is considered in conjunction with General Plan
Amendment No. 50.
4. That the proposed reclassification would establish a pattern of strip commercial
development in an area presently developed for single family residential use.
5. That the significance of North Street, now functioning as an arterial highway, will
be substantially altered when La Palma Avenue =.s extended westerly from East Street across
the railroad right-of-way, particulariy if the Public Utilities Commission requires the
closing of North Street across the railroad right-of-way, thus making North Street a local
street which will cul-de-sac three blocks westerly of the intersection of North and East
Streets.
6. That the proposed service station and possible market and walk-up restaurant would
be incampatible with the residential development sur:ounding subject property.
7. That two persons appeared representing 25 persons present in the Council Chamber
opposing subject petition.
