A RfSOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REOOMMENDING Ip T}~ CI?Y CAUNCIL OF THE CITY

WHFREAS, the City Council of the City or Anahaim did adopt a General Plan
by.RESOiution Noe 63R-8699 showing the general description and extent of land
i~ses within the City and indicating the present be2ief of the Council as to
possibie future development aad redevelopmQnt of land within the City; and
WHFREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Maheim did receive
verified petitions for Reclassification No. 64-65-93 and Variance No. 1686,
which petitions have implications on policies as expressed on said General Plan;
and
WNFAEAS, in conjunctien with the notice of the hearing on said reclassi-
fication and variance9 notice was also given regarding the cunsideration of
ari..amendment. to the General Plan in i~:e genP~al iocation and vicinity of
subject property of said reciascificatior ar~d variances and
WHFREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the
City Hall in tne City of Mahe3m on Feb~nary 15, 1965, at 2s00 0'clock P.ke,
notice of said public hearin9 having been duly given as required by 3aw and
in.ac:cordance with the provisions of the Maheim kunicipal Code, to heat and
consider evidence for and against said Amendment to the Ceneral Plan and said
proposed pe:,:tion for Reciassitication and Variance to investigate and make
iindings aad secommendatians ici connection therewith~ and
WFIFI3EAS, said Commis:,ion afte: due inspection, investigation, and study
made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence
and reports offered at sald hearing9 DOES HFRBY FIND
1. ?hat the present general description and extent of lard uses
in the afur.Qmentioned area adequately represents past and
cuzrent City polieies regarding possible future development
of said general area, bounded by a Iine I50 feet west of
Magnolia Avenue on the west, a line '100 feet south of Broadw:.y
on the south, Magnolia Avenue on the east, and a line 300 feet
north of Broadway on the north.
2< That no evidence was presented a~t said hearing which would
justify the City Planning Comnissiryi recor.~nding a change
in the above mentioned policies to t~e C~~.~•;vuncl'.

3. ihat Exhibit "A" of Generai Plan Amendment No. 51 ~ioes not
constitute.an acceptable alternative to curre~~t policies
as i]]ustr3ted on the General Plan, but should be considered

City of M aheim does hereby recnmmend to the City ~ouncii of the City of Anaheim
that subject General Plan Amendment be disapproved on the basis of the aforementioned
f indings.
