March 14~ 1966 et 2;00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing hnvinP been duly given PS required by
lew and in accordance w~;h the provisions of the Aneheim h1unicipal Code, Chapter 18,68, to he~ar ~nd consicfer evidence for
and ngalnst seid proposed varience end to investignte end mAke findings and recommendations in c~nnection therewith;

WIiEREAS, safd Commission, aEter due inspection, investigation, ~+nd ,tudy m.idc by itsel( und in its behnlf,
~nd efter due congideration of all evldence end teports otfered as soid hearing, does find anci det~~rmine the following
facts;
1. That the petitioner requests a varience from the Aneheim Municipel Code: Section 1fj.62.U90(B-1) which
permits one free-standin~ sign indicating all the principal ~~ses on ~~:6jert ~roperty, to
permit a sign identifying one of the tenants only; and Section 1~+.6?_.090(B-~) whi.cl~ requires
that a free-standing sign shall be located within the center 40~ of the property, ~to locate
a free-standing sign at the east property line of subject property.
2. That there are no excaptional or extraordinary circumstances or conditions applicable
to the pr.o~e.rty involved or to tlie intended use of the property that do not apply generally
to the prope.rty or class of use in the same vicinity and zone.
3. That no hardship had been proven that the requested variance was necessar~ for tl~e
preservation and enjoyrnent of a substantial property right possessed by other proper.ty in
the same vicinity and zone, and deni~d to the property in question.
A. That the requested variance will be materially detrimental to the public wrlfare or
injurious to the property or improvements in such vicinity and zene in which tre F,roperty is
located.
5. That the proposed variance, if approved, wuuld set a pattern for similar requests
for free-standing signs to identify individual business in close proximity.
6. That the Sign Ordinance was designed to provide f~r the orderly siqning of individual
properties rather than individual tenants within a property and to anprove subject petition,
would be granting the petitioner a privilegF not enjoyed by others in close proxiniity.
7. Tl~at no one appeared in opposition to subject petition.
