A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING ~MMISSION OF THE CITY OF APJAH£Itii
REOJMM~NDING TO TH~ CiTY COUNCIL OF TH£ CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT
GENERAL PLAN AMFNDMEIJT N0. R7 BE APPROVED
WIi£.REAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adept a General Plan by
Resolution No. 63R-R69, showing the gEneral description and extent of land uses within
the City and indicating the present belief of the Council as to possible future develop-
ment and redevelopment of land within the City; and
i~ WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified
;f ~ Petition for Reclassification No. 66-67-19; which petition has implications on policies
~~ as expressed on said General Plan; and
WHFREAS, in conjunction with the notice of the hearing on said reclassification,
notice was also given regarding the consideration of an amendment to the General Plan in
the general location and vicinity of suUject property of said *eclassification; and
' WHFREAS, the City Planning Commission did 'nold public hearings at the City Hall in
the City of Anaheim on September 12, and October 10, 1966, at 2:00 0'clock P.N., notice
of said public hearinc~ having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with
the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and
against said Amendment to the Generzl Plan and said proposed Petit:on for R~classification
to investi9ate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; an~
WHER~AS, said Commission after due inspection, investigation, and study made oy
itsel: and in its behalf and ar"ter due consideration of all evidence and reports offered
at said hearing, DO6S HER~Y FIND
~ 1. That evidence was presented at said hearing which ,;ustified the City
I Planninq Commission's recommending to the City Council a change in
the present general description and extent of land uses in the
aforemeni;ioned area, bounded on tha west by Lakevi~ Avenue, on the
south by Orangethorpe Avenue, on the east by Orchard Avenue and an
R-1 Tract, and on the north by the Yorba Linda Reservoir.
- 2. That Exhibit "B" of General Plan Amendment No. R7 does constitute
an acceptable alternative to current policies as illustrated on the
j General Plan.
