, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLAiVNING OOMMISSIOIJ OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM RE~MMENDING
TO THE CITY ~UNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM A STREET NAME CHANGE FUR
TAYLOR STREET, WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
TO LAKEVIFN STREEf, THERETO
WHEREAS, in order to reduce the confusion of diff erent street names for one street
extending through several municipal and county jurisdictions, the Orange County Street
Naming Committee has determined that Taylor and Lakeview Streets should be assigned or.ly
the name of L'akeview Street; and

WHEREAS, the Orange Count~- Planning Commission concurred with the recommendations
made by both the City of Anaheim and the Orange County Street Naming Committee, and
requested that the City of Anaheim take official ac.ion in renaming Taylor Street within
its jurisdiction to Lakeview Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing in the City Hall
in the City of Anaheim on December 5, J,966, at 2:00 0'clock A.M., notice of said public
hearing having been duly given as required by law, to hear and consider evidence for and
against said proposed street name change and to investigate and make findingsand
recommendations in connection therewith; and '
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by
itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports off es ed
at said hearing, does find ano determine the following factss
1. That only a small portion of Taylor Street, namely 38y feet is situated
within the jurisdiction of the City of Anaheim.
2. That the southerly extension of Taylor 5treet, over the Santa Ana River,
to the ultimate right-of-way of the Riverside Freeway should be considered
the logical terminus of said street, and should be renamed Lakeview Street
within the jurisdiction of the County of Orange.

3. That no property owners residing on Taylor Street apoeared to express their
opir,ions for or against the proposed street name change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID that the City Planning Commission does hereby recommend
to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Taylor Street within the jurisdiction of
the City of Anaheim, extending from a point approximately 400 feet rorth of 6Yalnut Street
for a distance of 389 feet, be renamed Lakeview Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVID that the City Council urge the Orange County Planning Commission
to rename Taylor Street within the jurisdiction of the County of Orange from the Riverside
Freeway on the south to Mariposa AvenLe on the north to I:akeview Street.
