A RESOLi.ffION OF THE CITY PLANNING COi'u1MISSION OF THE CIi'Y OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE PJO. 1814 BE GRANTED
WNEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified
Petition for Variance from ROBERT WETZLER, Box 2216, Anaheim, California, Owner; FEDERAL SIGN
COtv1PANY, 3036 South Oak Street, Santa Ana, California, Agent of certain real property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orar~ge, State of California, described as the North half of
the West half of the North half of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 24,
in Township 4 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes, as shown on ~ map thereof re-
corded in book 51, page 7, et seqo, Miscellaieous Maps, records of said Orange County; EXCEPTIIJG
TNEREFROM tlie Easterly 406 feet thereof

WFIEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in
the City of Anaheim on July 13, 1966, at 2:00 o'clock P~M., notice of said public hearing
having been duly yiven as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of tt~e A~aheim
Municipal Code, Chapter 18~68, to hear and consider evidence for and agairst said proposed
variance and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection theretivith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by
itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at
said I~earing, does find and determine the following facts:
i~ That the peiitioner requests a variance from the Anaheim iuiunicipal Code to permit
constiuction of an additional roof sign on subiect property:

property line - 60 feet proposeda
Roof sign ,^ot permitted within 300 feet oi another
roof sign - proposed to be located within 15 - 20

2. That there are exceptional or extraordinary circumstances or conditions applicable
to the property involved or to the intended use of the property tliat do not apply generally to
the property or class of use in the same vicinity and zone~
3~ That the requested variance is necessary for the pieser~ation and enjoyment of a
substantial property right possessed by other property in the same vicinity and zone, and
denied to the property in question.
4a That the requested variance will not be materially detrimental to the public
weifare or injurious to the property or improvements in such vicinity and zone in whic~: the
property is locatedo
5o Tliat the petitioner stipulated to removal of the existing roof signso
5o That no one appeared in opposition to subject petition.

; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mahtim City Plenning Commission does hereby grant subject
Petition Eor Vadonce, upon the following conditions which are hereby found to be a necessory prerequisite to the pro-
posed use of the subject property in order to preserve the safety and general welfare of the Citizens of the City of
Anaheim.
1~ That all existing signs on the property wiih an appraised value of $200000 or
less shall be removed as required by the Sign Ordinance of the City of Anaheim; such re-
moval to take place prior to final building inspection, as stipulated by the petitioner.
2. That subject property shall be developed substant~ally in accordance with plans
and specifications on file with the City of Anaheim, marked Exnibit Noso 1 and 2.
