A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING CUMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RECOh1MENDING TO THE CITY COtJNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT
PETITION FOR RECLASSIFICATION N0.6d'67-20 BE DENIED

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Reclassifica-
tionfrom CLIF1'ON MARTINy 12431 Magnoliay Garden Grove, California, Owner; RUBY RUSH 57R2 South
Ohio~ Yorba Linda, Califernia, Agent of certain reai property situated in the City of Anahein~9
County of Orange, Siate of Cali:orniay described as that portion of Lot 6 of the Kellogg Homestea3
Tract, as shown on a hlap recorded in book R, paqe 51 of Misceilaneous Maps, records of O:ange
Coun~yo Beginning at a point in the center lir.e of the 60 foct road along the Northeriy boundar}•
of said Lot 6, distant thereon 'NESterly 190 feet from its intersection with the Westerly line of
the ~0 foot road along the Easterly boundary of said Lot 6, and running thence Southerly9 parallel

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in :he City of pnaheim on
Septembe: 12, ;966, at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing havi~g been duly given as required
by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.72, to hear and consider evi-
dence for and against said proposed reclassification and to investigate end make findings and recommendations in
connection therewith: and
1VHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its behalf,
and after tiue consideretion of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find and determine the following
facts:
1.Thatthepetitionerproposesremoval cf deed restrictions limiting the p~o~erty to professional
office uses only9 to permit the fuli range of C-1, Ge~:eral Commercial, Zone usesa
2a That the Resolution of Intent approving Reclassification Noe 62-63-43, ir~itiated by
the planning Commission permitted specific uses, and was established prior to the adoption of
a C-0, Zone by the City of Anaheimo
3o That the requested removal of deed restrictions would permit heavier uses th~n
originally intended when the deed restrictions Nere imposed, thereby depreciat:ng the value of
existing homes and R-A, parcels in close proxirnity to subject propertya
4~ That the p*oposed removal o.° deed r=_strictions to permit unlimited G; uses on =_ubiect
property is not necessary and/or :]esirable for the orderly and proper d?velopment of the
cornmunityo
5o That R?classification No~ 02-63-43 should ~e modified and scheduled for public hearing
in cor.junction wiih Reclassification Ne~ 66-07-20 and Conditional Use Permit Ivo~ 884, to include
the estabiishment of a wedding chapel and restaurant as specific useso
~o That no one appeared in opposition to subject petition.

" t70W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim Ciry Planning Commission does hereby recommend
to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that subject Petition for Reclassification be denied on the basis of the
aforementioned findings.
