A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMfviISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REGOMMENDING
TO THE CITY COUNCIL GF THE CITY OF ANAH£IM AN AMEI4DM~JT TO THE CIRCULATIOi~
ELEMENT - HIGHWAY RIGHTS-OF-WAY OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN BY THE
ADOPTION OF GENERAL PLAN AMENDMHN?' D10. 92
WHEREAS, the General Plan designates East Street from La Palma Avenue to Ball Road
as a full secondary highway wi±h a half-width of forty-five feet; and
WHEREAS, that because of the dif;iculty in obtaining rights-of-way dedication due
to the minimal setbacks of some structures, the City Engineer developed a revised cross
ser.tion for this portion of Eo~t Street; and
VJHEREAS9 the City Pianniny Commission di9 hold a pub;i~ hearing at the City Hall in
the City of Anah~im on h1ay 8, 190?, at 2:00 0'clock: P~M.9 notice of said oublic hearino
haviny been duly given as required 'cy law and in accordance with the provisions o: the
Anaheim h1unicipal Code to hear and consider evidence for and against <_aid prooosed
amendment and to investigate and make :indings and recommendations in connection therewith:
and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by
itseli and in its behalf, and after due consideration o: all evidence and reports of'ered
at said hearing, does iind and determine the following iacts:
1. That East Street is pr4sently designated as a standaro 90 foot secondary
highway on the Hiqhway Rights-of-way, Circulation Element of tne Genera~.
P1an, between La Paima Avenue and Ball Road.
2. That in som2 cases a iuii dedication of ;orty-•five `eet wo~~ld resuit
in sub-minimai setbac::so
3. That in order to provide the necessary tra:fic iacilities e~itn tne least
amount of acquisition :rom already shallow *rontages with minimal setbar;s,
the street wioenina prooram could be accompiished by the reduction of the
parkway~
4. That the parkvray is proposed to be reduced to 8 ieet and :uily concreted
with tree wei!s olanted with trees.
5. That full width lanes providirg two lanes eacn •.vay, rrith no parkinc ~eing
provided where additional dedication was not obtained for a parkino lane,
serves the needs of traf:i~ ilow for this secondary nignway.

to the City Council of the City of Ananeim that General Plan Amenoment No. 92, be approved
establisning East Str2et on the Table o; Exceptions as a 8~-foot wide Secondary Hiqn~t~ay on
the Circulation Element - Hionway Riqhts-o;-VJay, o: the Anaheim General P1an.
