A R£SOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING ~MMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEINi RE~MMENDING
TO THE CITY OJUNCIL OF TH,E CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT GENERAL PLAN AMENDNi~NT
N0. 95 BE DISAPPROVED
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt a Ger.eral Plan by Resolution
No. 63R-869, showing the general description and extent of land uses within the City and
indicatinq the present belief of the Council as to possible future development and redevelooment
of land within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified
Petition for Reclassification No. 66-67-75, which petition has impl=cations on policies as
expressed on said General Plan; and
WHEREAS, in addition to the notfr,e of the hearing on said reclassification9 notice was
also given regarding the consideration of an amendment to the General Plan in the general
location and vicinity o: subject property of said reclassification; and
WHEREAS, the City ~lanning Commission did hold a public hearing at thu City Hall in
the City of Anaheim on June 19, 1967, at 2:00 0'clock F.M., riotice of said public hearing
having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the
Anaheim Municioal Code9 to hear and consider evidence for and against said P.mendment to the
General Plan and to investigata and mal.a findings and recommendations in connection therewith;
and
WHEREAS, said Commission after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself
and in its behalf and after due consideration of a11 evidence and repo:ts ofiered at =zid
hearing, DOES HEREBY FIND
lo That the present general description and extend of land uses in the a;oramentioned
area adequately reoresents past and current City policies reoardino po=siblz
future development o: said general area, descrioed as:
That area bounded on the north by Orangewood Avenue; on +.he west by Euclid
Street; on the east by Ninth Street; and on the south by the City Limits
of the City of Anaheim.
2> That no evidence was presented at said 'nearing which would justify the City
Planning Commi_=sion recommending a change in the above mentioned oolicies
to the City Council.
3. I'hat Exhibits "A" and "B" of General Plan Amendment No. 95 do not constitute
an acceptable alternative to current policies as illustrated on the General
Plano
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission does hereby recommend
to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that subject General Plan Amendment be disaoproved
on the basis of the aforementioned findings,
