V~HICH ESTABLISHES THE GENERAL ALIGNMEIJT OF CONVENTION WAY AND CLEMENTINE
STREET AND ALSO DESIGNATES SAID STREETS AS SECONDARY HIGMNAYS ON THE
CIRCULATION ELEMENT - HIGHWAY RIGHTS-OF-WRY OF THE GENE4P.L PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt a General Plan by Resoluti~n
No, 63R-86y9 showing the general description and extent of land uses within the City and
the Circulation Element of Streets and Highways in the City of Anaheim; and

WHEREAS, notice was given regardiny the consideration of an amendment to the General
Plan in the g~neral location and vicinity of the proposed alignment of Convention Way
be±v:een Harbor Boulevard on the west and Anaheim Boulevard on the east; and Clementine
Street between Katella Avenue or. the north and Orangewood Avenue on the south; and
WNtR~A~. the City Pianning Commission did hold a oublic hearing at the City Hall
in the City oi Ananeim on Roril 24, 1967, at 2:00 0'clock P,M., notice of said oublic
hearing having been duly given as required by 1aw and in accor~ancd with tne provisions
of the Anaheim Municioai Code, to hear and consider evidence f'or and against said Amendment
to the General Pian and to investioate and make findings and :ecommendations in connection
there~nith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission after due inspection, investigation and sturiy made by itseir
and in its behalf znd a:ter due consideration of ali evidence and reoorts o:fered at saio
hearing9 DOES HEREBY FIND:
1~ That Exhibit "A" depicts the qeneral aliqnm2nt of Convention Way extendino
easterly from Harbor BoulFvard across the Santa Ana Free~vay to connect tvitn
Paci:'ico Aver,ue providino, an a'_ternative route to the Stadium and the
Soutn2ast Industrial Azeao
2. That Exhibit "A" oepicts the general alignment o; Clementine Street extending
southerly to Orange~rlood Avenue, thereby providino an additional north-south
street to reii?ve an aireaoy conaested Harbor Boulevar;i~
3~ That both Katelia Avenue and Horbor Boulevard -olre2oy a:e experiencing vehicular
tra`fic counts near their caoacities, and that e;iti~ tne openinq o: the Convention
Center9 a!ternate arterial routes within tne general area are a nece=_sity,
4, That both Convention 'PJay and Clementine Street in the a;orementioned bounoarie=_
should be o?signa±ed as s~condary hignUrays to orovio2 `or capacity traific
during peak times o: activities in the Commerciai-Recreation Area.
5, That the proposed General Plan Amendment is not z precise alignment study9
r.or is there an acquisition program beinq proposed, but is a statement or
thF necessity for an arterial link between the Convention Center, the Southeast
Industrial Area9 ~nc~ the Anaheim Stadium, as well a=_ the necessity for additional
internai arterial circulation •,vithin the Commercial-Recreation Area~

tdON9 THEREFORE9 BE IT RE50LVED that the City Planning Comm~ssion of the City of
Anaheim does hereby recommend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim the adoption of
General Plan Amendment Noo 93 establishing Convention 6Uay and Ciementine Street within
the boundaries as depicted on Exhibit "A'' as secondary highways on the Circulation Element
Hiohway Rights-of-Way on the General Plan9 and further establishing the general alionment
of seid streets~
