WH~R~AS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt a General Plan by Resolution
No. 63R-869, showing the gen eral description and extent of land uses within the City and
indicating the pres ent belief of the Council as to possible future development and redevelop-~
ment of land within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a veri~ied
Petition for Reclassification Alo. 67-63-64, which petition has implications on oolicies
as expressed on said General Plan; and
WHEREAS, in addition to the notice of the hearing on said Reclassification, notice was
also given regarding ~he consideration of an amendment to the General Plan in the general
location and vicinity of subject property of said Reclassification; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearingsin the City Hall in
the City of Anaheim on hiarch 25, April 8, and May 6, 1968, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., notice of
said public hearings having b een duly given as required by law and in accordance with the
provisions of the Anaheim hiunicipal Code, to hear and consider evidence~for and against
sa~d Amendment to the General Plan, and said proposed Petition for Reclassi`ication and to
investigate and ma::e findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself
and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said
hearings, DOES HEREBY FIND:
l. That evidence was presented at said hearings which justifies the City Planning
Commission's recommending to the City Council a change in present 9eneral
description and extent of land uses in the area as follows:
~enerally bounded on the north by Rio Vista School and Park; on the west
by Rio Vista Street; on tfie couth by L'.ncoln ;,venue; and on the east by a
line apornximately 135 feet west of the centerline of Kingsley Street.
2. That Exhibit "D" of G er.eral Plan Amendment 1io. 97 does constitute an accept-
able alternative to current policies as illustrated on the General Plan.
3. That 8 persons aopeared, one of whom presented petitions signed by 250 property
owners, and over 100 p ersons were present in the Council Chamber, a11 in
opposition to the proposed amendment.
h'OW, THERE~RE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commission of the City o` Anaheim
does hereby recommend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that subject General Plan
Amendment be approved on the basis of the aforementioned findings, and in accordance with
Exhibit "D".
