A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE N0. 1988 gg GRAMED
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive o verified Petition for Variance from
IRVING KINGSTON, 324 N. Palm Drive, Apt. 8, Beverly Hills, California 90210, Owner of certain
real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and referred to herein as though set forth in full
; end
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
June 3, 1968~ at 2:00 o'clxk P.ht., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by
]aw and in accordence with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Cheptec 18.68, to hear and consider evidence for
and against said proposed variance and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith;
and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study mede by itself and in its behalf,
and after due consideration of all evidence and reports oEfered at said hearing, does find and determine the following
fects:
1. 1'hat the petitioner cequests e variance from the Anaheim Municipel Code as follows, in order to enlarge
an existing free-standing sign:
SECTION 18.ti2.090(5) - Location of free-standinct siqns. (The Sign Ordinance would
requirr that the sign structure be located a minimum of 40
feet from the 2asterly prooerty line of subiect ~rnperty;
the sign is presently located 30 feet from the easterly
property line).
SECfION 18.62.100(b-1) - Maximum area of a frerstandino sian. (100 square feet
permitted; ~32 sauare feet proposed).
2. That there are exceotional or extraordinary circumstances or conditions applicable
to the property involved or to the intended use of the property that do not apply generally
to tne property or class of use in the same vicinity and zone.
3. That the requested variance is necessary for the o*eservation and enjoyment of a
substantial property right possessed by other property in the same vicinity and zone, and
denied to the oroperty in question.
4. That the requested variance will not be materi~lly detrimental to the public wel.`are
or injurious to the property or imorovements in such vicinity and zone in which the property
is located.
