WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Veriance
from ELB~RT W. AND LIDA SMITH, % CLARK MILLER, 2014 North Broadway, Santa Ana, California, Owners;
ADVENTURE INN, INCORPORATED9 P, 0• Box 1169, Santa Ana, California, Agent of certain reai property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and referred to herein as though set forth in full

WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hel] in the City of Anaheim
on January 15~ 1968~ et 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hesring heving been duly given as required
by law and in eccordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipel Code, Cheptez 18.68,to hearand conside~
evidence Eor and against said proposed varinnce and to investigate end make findings and recommendetions in connec-
tion therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commissi~n, after due inspection, investigetion, and study mede by itself and in its behalf,
end after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find end determine the following
facts:
1. Thet the petitioner requests e variance from the Anaheim 111unicipal Code as foi:ows~ to oermit tievelooment
of subject prop=rty with a total of 265 oarking spaces.

2. That there are exceptionel or extraordinery circumstances or conditions applicable to the property involved

3. That the requested varience is necessary for the preservetion and enjoyment of a substential property righ[
possessed by other property in the seme vicinity and zone, and denied to the ptoperty in question.
4. That the requested variance will not be materially detrimental to the peblic welfare or injurious to the penp.
erty or improvements in such vicinity end zone in which the property is loceted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED thet the Anaheim City Plenning Commission does hereby grent subject
Petition for Variance, upon the following conditions which are hereby found to be a necessary prerequisite to 1he pro-
posed use of the subject property in order to preserve the sefety end genere! welfere of the Citizens of the City of
Anaheim:
la That any air-conditioning facilities proposed shall be properly shielded from view,
prior to the time that the Building Permit is issued or v~ithin a period of 180 days from uate
hereof, whichever occurs first, or such further time as the Commission or City Council may grant.
2. 'Ihat subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance with plans and
specifications on file with the City of Anaheim, marked Exhibit Nose l, 2, 3, and 4.
