AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING THE
ZONING MAP REFERRED TO IN TITLE 18 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING
(RECLASSIFICATION NO. 2003-00091).
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES FIND THAT:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing and, as a result
thereof, did adopt its Resolution No. 2003R-48 determining that a change or changes in the
zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and described should be made, unconditionally; and
WHEREAS, the subject properties are currently situated in the County of
Orange, and annexation to the City of Anaheim is pending; and
WHEREAS, the City has the authority to enact zoning ordinances not only within
its boundaries, but within its sphere of influence, and thus may prezone unincorporated
territory for the purpose of determining what zoning will apply if the property is annexed to the
City (Government Code Section 65859).
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the Zoning Map referred to in Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be,
and the same is hereby, amended by rezoning and reclassifying that certain property situated
in the County of Orange, State of California, described as follows, to wit:
Portion A - Approximately 25 acres located on the west side of Tustin Avenue
between Orangethorpe Avenue and Miraloma Avenue and having frontages of
760 feet on the south side of Orangethorpe Avenue, 1,030 feet on the west side
of Tustin Avenue and 330 feet on the north side of Miraloma Avenue, and
Portion B - Approximately 5 acres located on the south side of Orangethorpe
Avenue between Tustin Avenue and Jefferson Street, having frontages of 190
feet on the east side of Tustin Avenue, 1,540 feet on the south side of
Orangethorpe Avenue and 240 feet on the west side of Jefferson Street, as
Portions A and B are more particularly shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and incorporated herein as follows:
Portion A: into the City of Anaheim T (Transition) Zone.
Portion B: into the City of Anaheim I (Industrial) Zone.
SECTION 2.
The City Zoning Map shall be, and the same is hereby, amended and the
property above-described shall be excluded from the zone in which it is now situated and
incorporated in and made a part of the zone or zones as above set forth, and said City Zoning
Map, as amended, is hereby adopted and the Planning Department is hereby directed to
prepare a sectional zoning map to be added to the City Zoning Map showing the changes
hereby approved and adopted.
SECTION 3. CERTIFICATION
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the
same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a
newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days
from and after its final passage, it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Anaheim held on the 29th day of March, 2005, and thereafter was
approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 1=day of
