A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF TSE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT
PETITION FOF. RECLASSIFICATION NO. 67-68-47 gE APPROVED
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive e verified Petition for Reclassifice-
tionfrom S.I.R. DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, INCARPORATED, 1314 South Brookhurst Street, Anaheim,
California, Owner of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and ref erred to herein as though
set forth in full
WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hul! in the City of Anaheim on
January 15~ 1968~ at 2:00 o'clock P.M. notice of said public hearing having been duly given a~ required by
law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.72, to heez and consider evidence
for and against said pioposed reclassificetion and to investigate and make findings end recommendations in connection
therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, efter due inspection, investigetion, and study made by itself and in its behalf, and
efter due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find and determine the following fects;
1. That the petitioner proposes a reclessificetion of the above described property from the R-1~ One Family
residential, Zone to the R-2-5000, Single Family,Zone•.
2. That the scope of the proposed reclassification, if approved, does not warrant an
amendment to the General Plan at the present time, however, its relationship to the General
Plan symbol wiil be considered at the next annuai re~i.ew.
3. That the proposed plan of development would be compatible with the existing land use
and zoning in this general area, and that in the event that the property to the north is
developed for more intense uses, the proposed single family subdivision would provide a
suitable transition between the more intense development and the existing single family
develooment to the south.
4• That the proposed reclessificetion of subject property is necessary and/or desireble [or the orderly and pro-
per developncent of the community.
5. That the proposed reclessificetion of subjecY property does properly relate to the zones and their permitted
uses locelly established in close proximity to subject property and to the zones and their permitted uses generally esteb-
lished throughout the community.
