2 That the proposed.use cannot be classified as a hofbrau-type restaurant,
since oniy 10% of the gross f.loor area is proposed to be devoted'to the preparation
of food, and .the petitioner indicated that the sa?e of food would be incidental to
the safe of beer.
3. That the proposed use is not compatible with the estabiished uses to either
side, and many patrons of beauty salons have indicated that a beer bar operation in
a small shopping center, especially immediately adjacent to a beauty salon, would
have a deleterious eff ect on the patrons causing many of them to go elsewhere, there-
by creating a hardship on the.operators, who ar e forced to f ind other locations.
4. That the existing shopping center already has parking problems, and patrons
of the proposed operation, known to stay for lengthy periods, would create further
parking difficulties.
5. That one person appeared, representing 5 persons present in the Council
Chamber and 4 of the tenants of the center, and a petition signed by 4 ppssons was
received, all in opposition.
