RECOMMENDIIQG TO THF. CITY ~UNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT
GENFRAL PLAN' AA~ENDhitNT N0. 107 BE DISAPPROVED
~ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of 4naheim did adopt a General Plan for the
Hill and Canyon Area in Resolution No. 66R-36•. shcwing the general description and extent
~ of land uses within the area generally bounded on the north by the Santa Ana River, on
~, the west by the Neynport Freeway, on the south by Villa Park Road and the Santiago Canyon
~ Road, and on the east by Weir and Gypsum Canyon Roads, indicating the present belief of
R; _ the Council as to possible future development and redevelopment of land in this general
` area; and

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive verified
;~r Petitions for Reclassification Nos. 68-69-18 and 68-69-20, which petitions have implications
~ on policies as expressed on the Hill and Canyon General Plan; and
WHER~AS, in addition to the notice of hearing on said reclassifications, notice was
_ also given regarding the consideration of an amendment to the General Plan in the general
location and vicinity of subject property of said reclassifications; and
~
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing in the City Hali
in the City of Anaheim on August 26, 1968, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., notice of said public
hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisons
of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said amend-
ment to the Hill and Canyon General Plan and said proposed Petitions for Reclassification
to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and
; WI~iEREAS, said Commission after due inspection, investigation, and study made by
=;~ itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered
~ at said hearing, DOES HEREBY FIND
1. That the present general descri~tion and extent of land uses in the afore-
mentioned area adequately represents past and current City policies regarding
possible future developm~ent of said general area, described as: generally
bounded on the north by the Santa Ana River, on the east by Eucalyptus Diive,
on the south by Nohl Ranch Road, and on the west by Maude Lane.
2. That no evidence was presented at said hearing which would justify the City
Planning Commission recommending a change in the above mentioned policies
to the City Council.
3. That Exhibits "A" and "B" of General Plan Ainendment No. 107 do not constitute
an acceptable alternative to current policies as illustrated on the Hill and
~anyon General Pian.
4. That seven persons representing 34 persons present in the Council Chamber
appeared in opposition, and that six persons indicated they were in favor
of the General Plan Amendment.

NOW, THEREFnRE, BE IT R£6pLVED that the City Planning Commission o:' tFe City of
Anaheim does hereby recommend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim thet subject
General Plan Amendment be disapproved on the basis of the aforemention~ findings.
