WHEREAS, the City Council ref err?d a request of a street name change for Lincoln Avenue
_ to the Planniny Commission for fu.rther study and report and recommendation; and
WHF~2~AS, because of the considerable inter est that had been
9enerated by th2 proposed
street name chanqe request made by the owners of a majority of the property abuttino said
street, the ?lanning Commission set said streat name change for. public hearing for January
3, 1968; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the
~lty of Anaheim on January 3, and Januar
hearing having been duly giv2n as required2b~ 1968 at 2:00 0'clock P.M., notice of said
Anaheim Municipal Code to Y law and in accordance with the provisions ofbthe
change and to investigate andamakedfindindsrandirecoirmendations9innconnection~therewitheet name

WHEREAS, said Commission, after due ~ and
in its behalf, and after c~ue considerationnopection, investigation

petitioners for the proposed street name change presented their request
at the August E3, 1967, City Council meeting, indicating that the name Lincoln
P.venue had a commercial connotation, which would not be consistent with the
residential developrnent that is orooosed for iJohl Ranch, and that it was important
that proper identification be made for the residential area.
2. That the City of Orange in Resolution i~:o. 2843 had renamed approximately 2a00
feet of Lincoln Avenue within their jurisdiction to IJohl Ranch Road, and had
installed new street signs accordingly.
3. That the State of California signina department has not yet ordered or under-
;.~ken resigning of Lincoln Avenue.

to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the street alignment 1 ln
