WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission af the City af Aneheim did receive e verified Petition for Veriance

Owner of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of

WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commission did hold a public heering et the City Hall in the City of Anaheim
I on Janudry 29~ 1968~ et 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public heering heving been dul
by law and in ar.cordance with the provisions of the Aneheim Municlpal Code, Chepter 18,68, to he ~ anaso«Q,S;a~

tion therewith; end

I WHEREAS, said Commissi~n, efter due inspection, investigation, end study mede by itself and in its behelf,
j and af[er due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said heering, daes find end determine the following

I 1. Thet the petitioner requests e variance from the Aneheim Municipel Code aS follows~ to permit the Con-
itruction of two temnorary signs identifying subject oro,~erty as the future hor~e of an industrial
irm:
I SEGTION 1R.62.0?0(a and n; -;7hicn permits a business sign which shall include all
i ; signs and sion structures relatingto the orincipal business
:= or use o. the property on which the sign is to be erected;
! _ no business is located on the prooerty at the.present time.

2. Thet there are exceptional or extraordinary circumstances or conditions epplicable to the property involved
or to the intended use of the property that do not apply generelly to the property or class of use in the same vicinity
and zone.
3. Thet the requested verience is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of a substantiel property right
possessed by other property in the same vicinity and zone, and denied to the property in question.
4. That the requested variance will not be meterielly detrimentel to the pnblic welfere or injurious to the prop-
erty or improvements in such vicinity and zone in which the property is loceted.
5. That the Planning Commission felt a limited amount.of ~i~dny,indicating tne future
use of the property was desirab'_e and directed the staff to consider an anendment to the Siqn
Ordinance.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED thet the Aneheim City Planning Commission does hereby grant subject
Petition for Variance, upon the following conditions which are hereby found to be a necessary prerequisite to fhe pro_
pased use of the subject property in order to preserve the safety and general welfere of the Citizens ofthe City of
Anaheim:
1. That subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance with plans and
specificat:ons on f~ie with the City of Anaheim.
2. That the variance shall be granted for a period of 18 months, and shall be reviewed
at the end of that time by the Planning Commission to determine whether or not extension of
time shall be granted.
3. That a cash bond shall be posted, said amount to be determfned by the City Attorney,
to insure removal of the signs at the expiration of the tim= limitation, prior to the issuance
of a building permit.
