2. That the scop:e of the proposed reclassification, if approved, does not warrant
an amendment to the General Plan at the present time, however, its relationship to
the General Plan symbol will be considered at the next annual review.
3. I'hat no land use change has taken place to warrant consideration of commercial
uses in this general area.
4. That subject property is surrounded by single family homes, except for the
apartments developed on the west side of East Street southerly of Santa Ana Street,
and approval of ~he proposed reclassification would have a deleterious eifect on the
residential integrity of the area.
5. That approval of commercial uses for subject property would establish an
undesirable precedent and would encourage all the single family homeowners along this
street to request commercial zoning, thereby creating further traffic problems.
6. That one person appeared representing three persons present in the Council
Chamber, a peti±ion signed by 32 persons and a letter was received all in opposition
to subject petition.
