A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING CQIIMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE N0. 2040 _$E GRANTED .
WHEREAS, the City plenning Commiasion of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Vedance
from EUGENIA WESTON DORIpN~ EI' py, 415 Flores, Los Angeles, California 90064, Owner; HARLEM AND
LAUB, 2140 North Main Street, Santa Ana, California 92706, Agent of certain real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as Lot Nos.
4 and 5 of Tract No. 2638
~ ; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public henring at the City Hell in the City of Aneheim
on December 30, 1968, at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing having been duly given es required
by law and in accordence with the provisions of the Aneheim Municipel Code, Chepter 18.68,to hear and conaider
evidence for and dgainst said proposed verience and to inves~igetc and make findings and recommendetions in connec-
tion therewith; acrd
WIiEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study mede by itself end in its behalf,
end after due consideration of all evidence and reports offeredat seid heering, does find end determine the following
fects:
; 1. That the petitioner requests a variance from the Anaheim Manicipel Code, as follows, to permit
~ construction of a 20-unit one and two-story apartment complex:

5. That the requested variance for vehicular access to a local st*eEt would ailow the
~~ petitioner to utilize his property in a manner that has been enjoyed by owners of other
apartment developments in this area; and that minor redesign of the project as recommended
will eliminate the requested waiver of the minimum width of the pedestrian accessway.
- 6. That one p erson appeared representing two persons present in the Council Chamber
in opposition to two-story construction, and vehicular access to Iris Street.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby gtant subject
Petition for Variance, upon the following conditions which are hereby found to be a necessary prerequisite to the pro-
posed use of the subject property in order to preserve the safety and general welfere of the Citizens of the City of
Anaheim.
1. That this variance is granted subject to the completion of Reclassification No.
68-69-24.
2. That trash storage areas chall be provided in accordance with approved plans on
file with the office of the Director of Public Works.
3. That any air-conditionxng i'acilities proposed shail be properly shielded from view,
and the sound shall be buff ered from adjacent residential homes.
4, That Condition Nos. 2 and 3, Ebove mentioned, shall be complied with prior to final
building and zoning inspections.
5. That the awner of subject property shall pay to the City of Anaheim the~sum of
$150.00 per dwelling unit ta be used for park and recreation purposes, said amount to be
paid prior to the servicing of utilities or final building and zoning inspections.
6. That subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance with plans
and specifications on file with the City of Anaheim, marked Exhibit Nos. 1, 2, and 3, Fsaided,
however, that one of the four carports oriented to Iris Street shall be oriented toward the
alley, and that an access drive approach from Iris Street to the remaining three carp0ats
shall be a maximum of 30 feet in width.
