A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE N0. 1953 gE APPROVED I~! PART
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Varience from
CLARENCE NAUERHAN, 210 Narcissus, Corona Del Mar, California 92625, Owner; L. B. JACKSON, 1166
West Katella Anaheim, California 92802,'Agent of certain real property situated in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
ref erred to herein as though set :orth in full

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing et the City Hell in the City of Anaheim on
February 26~ 19ci8, at 2:00 o'clock P,M., notice of said public hearing heving been duly givrn as required by
lew and in eccordance withthe provisions of the Anaheim Municipel Code, Chepter 18.68, to hear and consider evidence for
end ageinst said proposed variance and to investigate and make findings end recommendations in connection therewith;
and
WHEREAS, seid Commissian, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its behelf,
and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at seid hearing, does find end determine the following
facts:
1. That the petitioner requests e veriance from the Aneheim Municipal Code as follows, to r?p1aCe an existing
:ree-standing sign with a new sion structure on subject prop erty:
SECTION 18.62.090(B-2) - Heiaht of free-standinct sions (25 f eet permitted Nhen
.vithir 300 feet of a residential structure; 39 feet
proposed).
2. That waiver of the 25-foot sign height requirement is hereby orant2d to allow con-
struction of a sign a maximum of 31 feet in height, and conformsto the height of the existing
sign which is to be replaced.
3. I'hat waiver of the area of a free-standing sign is hereby denieci on the basis that the
petitioner stipulated to the modification of the sign as suggested by the Commission which
reduced the area so that it would be within that permitted by the sign ordinance.
4. That the requested variance, as approved, will not be materially detrimental to the
public welfare or injurious to the property or improvements in such vicinity and zone in
which the property is located.

5 1. That adequate clearance of existing electrfcal Iines shall be provided as required by
~, the Electrical Division, Department of Public Utilities, and the State of California G.O, g5,
'~ 2. That subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance with plans and
i specifications on file with the City of Anaheim~ markec~'Exhibit Nos. 1 and 2; provided, how-~
ever, that the sign shall be reduced to 31 feet in height and the square foot area shall be
in accordance with recommended amendments to which the petitioner has stipulated, and which
