A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COhiMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIht
THAT PETITION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 1006 BE GRANTED
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Maheim did receive a veriEied Petition for Conditionel
Use Permit from JULIUS lJATHAI~, 1836 South Anah=im Boulevard, ~naheim, California, Owner of certai~
real property situated in ttie City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State o.` California, described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and referred to herein as though set :orth in full

,~ NHEREpS, the Ciry Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
,f hlarch 11~ 1968~ at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice oE said public hearing hav[ng been duly given as rr.quired by
law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Aiunicipal code, Chapter 18.64, to hear and consider evidence
foz and egainst said proposed conditional use und to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection
therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study mede by itself and in its behalf, and
after due considera[ion of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find and determine the following facts:
1. That the proposed use is properly one for which a Conditional .Use Permit is authorized by Code
Secti.on 18,64,020(?.-c) to ~,vit: expand an existing motel on subject prooerty.
2. That the proposed use will not adversely affect the adjoining land uses and the growth end development of
the area in which itis proposed to be loceted.
y 3. That the size and shape of the site proposed for the use is adequate to allow the full development of the
_ proposed use in a manner not detrimentat to the particular area nor to the peace, health, safety, and general welfare
of the Citizens of the City of Maheim.
4. That the granting of the Conditional Use Permit under the conditions imposed, if any, will not be detrimental
to the peace, health, safety, and general welfare oE the Citizens of the City of Anaheim.
5. That und~er the autnority o~ Section 18.64.070, waiver of the required ?andscaoing is
granted until sucn time as Anaheim Boulevard is tividened and str=et improvements installed.
6. That the Plannino Cnmm;=sion r=commends to the City Council that an encroachment
permit bz granted to permit the existing sign to re~nain in the ultimate right-o:-way until
such time as the street vaidening and improvements ;or Anaheim Boulevard are made.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED thet the Aneheim City ?lanning Commiss(on does hereby grant subject
Petition for Conditional Use Permit, upon the following conditions which are hereby found to be a necessary prerequisite
, to the proposed use of the subject property in order to pteserve the sefety and genera] welfare oEthe Citizens of the
City of Aneheim:
1, That the owner of sub~ect property shall deed to the City of Anahzim a st:ip of :and
50 feet in width from the centerl.ine of the street, along .4naheim Boulevard, For street
widening purooses.
2, That street i.morovement plans shall be prepared and a11 enaineerinq requirements of the
City of Anaheim, alor,g Anaheim Boulevard, such as curbs and gutters, sidev+alks, street g*adina
and paving, drainage facilities, or other appurtenant work shall be completed as required by
the City Fngineer and in accordance witti standard plans and specifications on file in the oific~
a~~ of the City tngineer; and that a bond in an amount and form satisfactory to the City of Anahein
, shall be posted with the City to guarantee the installation of said engineering requirements.
3. That ±he owner of subject prop~sty shall pay to the City of Anaheim the sum of $2.00
~' per front foot along Anaheim Boulevard, for street lighting purposes.
4. That the owner of subject property shall pay to the City of A;;cneim the sum o.` 15¢ per
front foot along Anaheim Boulevard, ior tree planting purposes.
5. That trash storaae areas shall be provided in accordance with approved plans on :ile
with the o:fice of the Dir=ctor of Public WorksJ prior to fin21 building and zoning insoections
6. That Condition Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4, above mentioned, shall be complied with prior to
the time that the Buiiding Permit is issued or within a period of 180 days from date hereof,
whichever occurs first, or such further time as the Commission or City Council may grant.
7, ?hat subjo~t oroperty shall be develooed substantially in accordance with olans and
specifications on file with the City of Anaheim, orovided, however, that a 3-foot landscaoe
strip sha11 be provided adjacent to the :uture right-of-way along Anaheim Boulevard, and shall
be planted with a hedge of a minimum height of 30 inches, said landscaoing to be provided at
the time Anaheim Boulevard is widened; and ;urthe.r provided, that a bond shall be posted in an
amount and form satisfactory to the City of Anaheim to guarantee that said landscaping is
provided at such time as street widening and improvements are made.
