A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE NO. 2103 BE APPROVED
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Aneheim did receive a verified Petition for Variance from
BARCLAYS BANK OF CALIFORNIA, 1025 East Orangethorpe Avenue, Anaheim, California 92801, Ov~~ner;
HEATH HiJD COMPANY, 322~ Lacy Street, Los Angeles, California 90031, Agent of certain real oropercy
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of Califo:nia, described as Lot Wos.
4, 5, and 6, of Tract No. 496.

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did ho!d a public hearing et the City Hall in the City of Aneheim on
July ln, i"ti9, at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing heving been duly given as required by
law and in. ~carrdence with the provisions of the Aneheim Municipel Code, Chapter 18.68, to heer end consider evidence for
and against said proposed varience end to investigate end meke findings end recommendations in connection therewith;
end
WHEREAS, seid Cammission, efter due inspcction, investigation, end study made by itself end in its behelf,
and efter due co:isideretion of all evidence end reports offered at said hearing, does find and detertnine the following
facts:
1. Thet the petitioner requests a verience fr~m the Aneheim Municipel Code as follows, to establish an
additional free-standing sign on subject property:
a. SECTION 18~62.090(B-~1) -• ~daximum number of free-standinq siqns. (One pe:mitted;
two oroposed;.
b. SECTION 18.6?_.090(B-1) - Idinimum distance between two free-standinq sions.
(Minimum of 300 feet required; 16C feet proposed;.
c. SECTIOPI 18062.090(B-2~ - Maximum heicaht of a free-standinq siqn. (25 feet
within 300 feet of a residential strocture permitted;
60 feet proposed).
2. That there are exceptional or er.traozdinary circumstances or conditions applicabl~ to
the property involved or to the intended use cf tne property that do not apply generally to the
property or class of use in the same vicinity and zone.
3. That the requested variance is necess~~y for the preservation and enjoyment of a
substantial property right possessed by o*.her property in th~ same vicinity and zone, and denied
to the property in question.
4. That the requested variance tvill not be materially detrimental to the public vielfare
or injurious to the property ur improvAments in such vicinity and zone in which th? pronerty is
located.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby grant subject
Petition for Varience, upon the following conditions which are hereby Eound to be a necessary prereyuisite to the pra-
posed use of the subject property in order to preserve the safety and generel welfare ~f the Ci?izens of the City of
Anaheim.
1. That this variance is granted subject to the completion of Reclassification No.
68-69-80.
2. That subject property shall be developed substantially in zccordance with plans
and specificatians on file with the C~t~ of Anaheim, marked Exhibit iVos. 1 and 2.
3. That the existing bral:e shop sign shall be removed upon termination o' the brake
shop use, ~r subject petitior, shall be reviewed by the Planning Commission within three
years to determine further disposition of said sign, whiche•rer occurs first.
