A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 1125 gE GRANTED
WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Conditional
Use Permitfrom CONTIIdENTAL CASUALTY ~MPANY, 1710 Crocker Citizens Plaza, % ELDEN MC PHqRLIN, 611
West bth Street, Los Angeles, California 90017, Owner; TERRACE GARDENS, % FOX REALTY, 1405 East
Chapman Avenue, Orange, California 92667, Agent of certain real property situated in the Gity
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
referred to herein as though set forth in full.

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing et the City Neil in the City of Aneheim on
September 9~ 1969, at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public heering heving been duly given as required by
~!~ low end in eccordance with the provisions of the Aneheim Municipal code, Chepter 18.64, to henr and consider evidence
fot and egair.st said proposed conditianal use end to investigete end make findings end recommendations in connection
therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigetion, and study mede by itself and in its behalf, end
aft~er due consideretion of all evidence end reports ofEered at said hearing, does [ind and determine the following tacts:
1, Thet the proposed use is properly one for which e Conditionel Use Prrmit is authorized by Code:
:;ection 18.~4.020(2-b) to v~ite estabiish a 188-bed canvalescent hospital with adjoining
minimum care cottages on subject property.
2. Thet the proposed use will not adversely eftect the adjoining land uses and the growth And development of
the area in which it is proposed to be loceted.
3. Thet the size and shape o! the site proposed (or the use is adequate to allow the full development o( the
proposed use in a manner not detrimentel to the perticular erea nor to the peace, health, safety, end gmeral wel(are of
the Citizens of the City ot Anaheim.
4. Thet the grenting of the Conditional Use Permit under the conditions imposed, if ony, wi11 not bc detrimente!
to the peece, heelth, sefety, end g~aeral welfare of the Cittzens of the City of Anaheim.
5. That the petitioner stipulated to providing undergrouncJ utilities.
6. 'fhat the petitioner stipulated that I~e was aware of possible intrusion of noise
from the adjacent oil well operations~ however, the design and accoustical material use~l
would minimize any undue volume of noise.
'1. That a letter of opoosition was received frorr. operators of oil wells, indicating
no objection to the proposed alignment of Jackson Street, but only to the close pro;dmity
of a convalescent home to their type of operation.

1. That the owner of subject property shall. deed to ihe ~ity of Anaheim a strip of land
71 feet in width from the north curb along Frontera Street; and a strip of :and 5~ 'eet in
wi9th along the proposed east-~~est street alignment o: Jackson Avenue f.om the east prone:ty
