6YHEREAS, the City Planning Commis=_ion at ;~;c ".ovember 3. 1969, public hearinq
relative to auto rental agencies as primary uses, determined that said aaencies should
only be permitted in the C-0. Commercial-Office Zone as a conditional use; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission directed the staff to s?t for public heari,o
consideration of an amendment to Title 18, Chapter 18.38, of tne Anaheim 1~'unicipal Code.
Section 18.38.040, Conditional Uses establishino auto rente, aqencies as a conditional
use by the addition of-Sut-Subsection 16.;8.0~0(,2-C); and
WHEREAS~ the City Planning Commission did hold a publir, hearino at the Cit;. ,yall
in the Cit! of Anaheim on November 17, 1969 at 2s00 0'cloc}: D,I,;,, notice of said public
hearing having been dvly given as required by law and in accordance ivith the provis'ions
of the Anaheim Nunicipal Code, to hear anc consider evidence for and aoainst said pro-
posed amendment and to investigate and ma1;e findings and recommendations in conn~ction
therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection~ investigation, and study made bv
itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence ~nd reoorts
offered at said hearina, does find and determine the fol,owing facts:
1. The Anaheim Ifunicipal Code, Chapter 18.3R does no- permit ai.to rental
agencies either b~ riqht or by conditional use permit.
2. That auto rental agencies coul:i be permitted in t:•~e C-U Zone where
cl2arly integrated within a nrimary use structure, subject to a
conditional use oermit being approved.
3. That the conditional use permit vehicle could control the location of
these facilities, if it is intended to maintain the vehicles on the
premises, in order to assure adequate parking for said use as wel]
as the permitted uses.
IJOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RFS OLVED that the City Planning Commission daes t~ereby
recommend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim apnroval of amendment to 7itle
18, Chapter 18.38, C-0, Commercial-Offir.e, Zone Section 18,3E,040, Conditiona; Use=,
by the addition to Subsection 2 of Sub-Section "C" Auto Renta] Aqencies, as denicted
on Exhibit "A" attarhed hereto and referred to as thouah set forth in full.

ING SECTION 18.38,040 BY THE ADDITION OF SUBSECTION
18.38.040(2) (~),
~ THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS;
SECi'ION 1.
That Til•le 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the sane is
hereby amended by the addition to Chapter 18.38, Section 18.38,040,
Paragraph 2, Subparagraph (C) as follows:
Section 18.38.040 (2) (C) Auto Rental Agencies.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and
shall cause the same to Ue printed once within fifteen (15) days after its
adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin a
published and circulated in sai~ CityReandathirtf general circulation, printed,
