= A RE9~LUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING OOMMISSION OF THE C1:Y OF ANAHEIN~ RECOMMENDING
TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM TF,AT A~'REI:T I4AN~E Cf;ANG~ B~
APPROVED RENAMING CRESCENT DRIVE BETW,EEN SANTA ANA C/~NYON ROAD AIdD
i ITS EASTERLY EXTENSION 500 FEET SOUTH OF CERRO VISI'A DRIVE TO

~ WHEREAS, the State Division of Highways has advised that upon completion of the neu~•
f Rive~•side Freeway through the east Anaheim area between the Newport Freeway and Imperial
High•xay, si9ning of a street name would be permitted, and Lakeview Avenue had been
selected; and
~ WHEREAS, in order to eliminate conrusion oi two streets having the same general
' alignment with two different names, the Commission determined that a public hearing should
be scheduled to consider renaming a portion of Crescent Drive to Lakevie~~; Avenu=; ar.d
WHER~AS, the City Planning Commissi~n did hold a public heariny in the City Hsll in,
the City of Anaheim on March 10, i969, at 2:00 0'clock P>M., notic~ of said pub?ic h=_a_~ina
having been duly given as required by .law and in accordance with the provi;ions of the
Anaheim Municipai Code, to hear and consicier evidence for and against said p:oposed S~Z'Pnt
~ name change and to investigate and make findings and recommendation; in connection th~re-
with; and
Wf-~REAS, said Commission, after due insper,tion, investigation, and study made by
~ its~lF and in its behaif, and after due consic~.eration of all evidence and reports oifered
~ at caid hearing, does find and determine the foilowing facts:
1. That the State Division of Nighways will identify only one stre~t on the n=•n
Riverside Freeway ali9nment now ur,der construction, and that Lahevie~,v Avenue
was seiected as the street so identified.
2. That•the Oranae County Master Plan of Arterial F:ighways proposes that th~
Lakeview Avenue al9inment will eventually extend southerly as far as Villa

Park Road in the City of Villa Park.
~~ 3. I'hat littls development with homes has occurred along that portion of Crescer~t
Drive proposed to be renamed.
~ NOW, THEREFGRE, BE IT RE9JLVED that the City Flanning Commission does hereby rrcommend
to the City Counc:il that Crescent Drive, extending southerly from Senta Ana Canyon P.oad
to its easterly ex.tension,located appror,imately 500 feet south of Cer*o Vista Drive, be
renamed Lakeview Avenue based on the foreaoing findings.
BE IT FURTFIER RE50LVED that the Cities of Orange and Villa Park, and the County oi
Orange be urged to assign the name ef Lakeview Avenue to any er.tension of the propose~
arterial through their jurisdiction as depicted on the Orange County Master Plan of
Arterial Highways.
