PC70-llf3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ADOPTTNG AND RECOMMt~IDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF I'HE CITY OF A[9AHEIM THAT TFIE STF.EET NAME ' DOVER CIRCLE REMAIN UNCHANGED ; WHEREAS, there presently exists three streets with similar names south of South Street between East Street and State Col.lege Boulevard; and WHEREAS, Dover Street and Dover Place have been in existence since 1954 and 1958, and Dover Circle has recently been established as a street in a new subdivision located immedi- ately east of East Street; and ~' NIHEREAS, the Planning Conmission on May 18, 1970 set for public hearing consideration of a street name change for pover Circle to Dorset Circle; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Comrnission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on Jun2 ~~, 19~0, at 2:00 0'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said proposed streeā€¢c _ name change and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; - and WHEREAS, said Commissior,, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideratiun of a11 evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find and determine the following facts: 1. That at ±he time the Planning Commission set said street name change for public hearing, only one home was occupied ar.d none of the other homes on the street had been sold. 2. That the developer had been advised that a street name change was being considered, and that any prospective purchasers should be so advised. 3. That a letter tvas received from the Postmaster of the Anaheim Brarich oF ': the U.S. Post Office concurrino in the proposed street name change in order to preclude any problem whicn a multiplicity of similar names may cause. ~ r_ 4. That since setting the street name change for oublic hearing, five additional homes had been sold, and all the homeowners on Dover Circle had submitted a petition requesting that the street name remain the same. 5.
