~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
T'FIAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE NO. 221 ~ BE GRANTED
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Variance
from CRESCC-NT SOUTHERN 9APTIST CIIURCII, 622 North Gilbert Street, Anaheim, California 92801,
a,vner; ROBERT L. SMALLWOOD, 213 Courtney Place, Fullerton, Calirornia 92633, Agent of
certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
~ California, des-ribed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and referred to herein as thougli
set forth in full.
; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City oE Anaheim
on Nov°mbe1~ 2~ 1970, at 2:00 o'r.lock P.M., noticc of said pubtic hearing having been duly given as required
by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.68,to hear and consider
evidence for end ugainst said proposed variance and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connec-
tion therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commissinn, after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its behalf,
and atter due consideration of all evidence end reports offered et seid heering, does Eind and determine the following
facts:
1. That the petitioner requests a variance (rom the Anaheim Municipal Code as follows:
SECTIOId 18.G2.045(c) - Maximum permitted siqn arPa. (20 square feet permitted;
3? square feet proposed).
2. That the petitioner is proposing to establish a 4 x 8 foot free-standing sign to
.replace an existing free-standing sign on subject property.
3• Thet there are exceptional or extroordinery circumstances or conditions app~iceble to fhe property involved
or to the intended use oE the property that do ~ot app~y genernlly to the property or class of use in the same vicinity
and zone.
4• That the requested variance is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment o( a substantinl property right
possessed by other property in the same vicinity and zone, and denied to the propcrty in question.
5.• That the requested variance will not be matetially detrimen;al to the public welfate or injurious to the prop-
erty or improvements ~n such vicinity nnd zone in which the property is located.
6.• That the requested variance will not be materially detrimental to the public welfare
or injurious to the property or improvements in such vicinity and zone in wtiich tt~e
property is located.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED that the Ar,aheim City Planning Commission does hereby grant subject
Pefition for Variance, upon the following conditions which are hereby found to be a ne~essary prerequisite to the pro-
posed use of the subject property in order to preserve the safety and general welfare of the Citizens of the City of
Anaheim.
1. That subject property shall be developed subst:antially in accordance with olans
and specifications on file with the City of Anahe_.a., marked Exhibit Alo. 1.
