A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE NO. 2217 BE GRANTED
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission oE the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition for Varience
from SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, i241 South Grand, Santa Ana, California 92705, Owner;
GEORGE H. BRIMHALL~ 1656 South Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim, California 92802, Agent of
certain real property situated in the Ci.ty of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
described as the Southerly 175 feet of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of the
i Southeast quarter of Section 22, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S. B. M., and that part
of Motel Way, 60 feet wide, adjacent to the east, to be abandoned by the City of Anaheim.
; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commissian did hold a public hearing et the City Halt in the City of Anaheim
` on November 16, 1970~ at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required
by law and in eccordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipel Code, Chapter 18,68,to hear and consider
evidence tor and against seid proposed veriance end to investigate and meke findings and recommendations in connec-
tion therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commissinn, efter due inspection, investigation, end study made by itself end in its behelf,
and after due consideretion of ell evidence and reports offered at seid hearing, does find and determine the following
fects:
1. Thet the petitioner reauests a verience from the Anaheim Municipel Code as follows:

(Sign is proposed 48 feet west of the easterly property
line of subject property; ~od~ would require a minimum
of 120 feet)
2. That thc petitioner proposes to erect a!6'r:-foot hiqh, 48-square foot, free-
standing, directioral sign only 48 feet from the easterly property I~ne.
3. That there are exceptionel or extraordinery circumstances or conditions appliceble to the property involved
or to the intended use of the property that do not epply generelly to the pcoperty or cless of use in the same vicinity
and zone.
q,Thet the requested variance is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of e substential property right
possessed hy othec pcopecty in the seme vicinity and zone, and denied to the property in question.
5. That the requested variance will not be materielly detrimenta! to the public welfere or injurious to the prop-
ert,y or improvements in such vicinity and zone in which the property is loceted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby grant subject
Petition for Variance, upon the following conditions which are hereby found to be a necessary prerequisite to the pro_
posed use of the subject property in order to preserve the sefety and general welfare of the Citizens o! the City of
Anaheim.
