is a need to preserve the area with ite Eucalyptus tree wiitdbreake,
rolling terrain, and winding river by eatablietiing a Scenic Corridor
Zone for ~;aid area; and
,;ti IdHGREAS, after numerous studies and work seas iona, the P ldnning
;~; Commisaion set for public hearing coneideration of the adoption of
a Scenic Corridor Overlay (SC) ?.one; and

WHGREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public heari.ng
at the City Hall ~n the City of Anaheir^ on November 30, 1970 and
January 11, 1971 at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of s sid public hearinR
having been duly given as required by law and in accordance w ith the
provieions o~' the Anatielm Municipal Code, to itear and conaide r evid-
ence for and against said propoaed 3ddition to the Ordinance~ and to
•lnveatigate and make findings and recommendations in connec~tion
therewith; and
WHER~AS, s~id CoMmissi.on, after due inapPCtion, inveatiga:i.,;n,
and study made by itself and in its be?~alf, and after due considera-
tion of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find
and determine the following facts:

and safety.
The entire area of cut slope shall be confined ~oithin
one lot or parcel and the top of cut slopes shall be locttl-ed
a minimum of one foot from the ad~oining property line. All
exposed cut slopPS shall be protected upon comple~ion ~vith planr--
ing as set forr_h in T.it1P 18, Chapter 18.59, Sections 18.59.042(4}
18.59.052(3), and 18.59.062(1).
5UB5ECTION 17.06.110(d) TERRACING. Cut slopes exceeding
25 feet in vertical helght shall be terraced at approxim ately mid-
h~i~ht. Cut slopes shall not exceed 50 feet in vertical height.
Terraces sha].1 be not less than six (li) feet wide, sha11 be construcled
