A RESOI.UTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM

WFiER~AS, the Clty Plenning Cammiseion of the City of Anahoim did initiete a Petition for
Reclasslfication on cerxain real property situated in the County af Orange, State of
CaliFornia, deacribed as east of the interaection of the Newport and Rivereide I~reeways,
souC}i oi' the Atchison, Topeka und SAnta l~e Railway, weat oE the Orange Caunty line, and
nortl~ of. a line located ane-half mile south of. Santa Ana Canyon Road.

WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commiesion did hold a public hearing et the City Hell in the City of Anaheim
on June 28, 1971 at 7:•30 o'clock P.M. notice of said public hearing having boen duly given es required by
law and in accordence with the provieiona of the Anaheim MunicIgel Code, Chepter 18.72, to heas and consider
evidence for and against seid proposed reclassificetion and to investigete end make findinga end recommendations
in connectior~ therewith; and
i'~; WHEREAS, said Commission, efter due inspection, investigation, end study r~ade by itself and in its be-

~ half, and aEter due consideration of ell evidence end reports offered et seid hearing, does find end determine the
„ ;'~ following facts:
1. Thetthe p~anning Commission proposes the adoption of a resolution of intent
to esta5lish the Scenic Corri.dor Overlay, Zone on properties previously described and
located in the Santa Ana Canyon in the unincorporated portions of the County of Orange.
2. That the proposed es~ablishment of said zone to overlay sub,ject properties is
necessary and desirable for the implementation of the scenic corridor proposal on
propereies when annexed to the City of Anahefm.
3. That the propoaed establishment of aai.d zone to overlay subject properties is
necessary end/or desirable for the orderly and. proper development of the total comnunity.
4. That the prop~sed establishment of said zone to overlay the subject properties
is consistent with existing and planned zones either on Lhe su~,ject properties, or
properties in the immediete vicinity, or ~pon properties generarly within the Santa Ana
(:anyon Area .
5. Tt~ar seven persons appeared, represEnting approximately 20 persons preaent in
the Council Chamber for, egainst, and inter.ested persons reques~ing additional information
on sub:;ect petition.

Municipal Code '~e am~nded to eal-ablish the abnv~ deacribed property in the (SC) Scenic
Corridor Overlay, Zone aub~ect to the f.ollowing condition.

the property to the City ot- Anaheim.
