WHEREAS, the City Plnming Commission of the City of Anehelm did receive a verified Petitlon £or Vadence from
STANDARD OII. OF CALIFORNIA, Post Office Box 31, Long Beach, California 90801, Owner; AMERICAN
PERMIT SERVICE, Poet Office Box 364, la Puente, California 91747, Agent of certain real prop-
erty aitua*_ed in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as Lots
76, 77, 78 and 79 of Tract 1808 as shown on a map recorded in Book 52 Pages 39, 40 and 41 of
Miscellaneoue Maps, records of said Orange County; and
WHEREAS, the City Plonning Commieelon did hold a public headng at the City Hell in the City of Anehelni on
August 21, 1972, , at 2:00 o'clock P.M., noiice of seid publlc hearing having bem duly givm es required by

Thet the.pcUtioner requests variances from the Anaheim Municipal Co3e ae follows:

(3 propoaed; 1 permitted).
c. SECTION 18.62.090(B-2) - Minimum siqn heiRht
(S feet required; 6 feet roposed).
That signing ae oroposed ie far in 2xcess of signing permitted wiChin the sign
ordinance, and to grant eubject pe~ition would be eatabliehing an undeairable
precedent wherein every other service station in Anaheim could request eimilar
signing.
3. That the Planning Coimnission earlier in 1972 had denied a aimilar request with a
finding thaC approval would establiah a precedent for maes ai~ning of okher service
stetiona throughout the city and no changes have occurred to warrant favorable con-
sideration of this petition.
4. That the petitioner is proposing to increase the number of aigns on these aervice
~tation sites from four to eight (4-8) Cimes that permitted by Code, thereby auto-
matically g~anting the petitioner a privilege not enjoyed by :~ther commercial and
industrial dc,velopments throughout the City.
5. That there are no exceptional or extraordinary circumetances or cunditione applicable
to the property involved or to the intended uae of the property that do not apply
generally to the property or class of use in the seme vicinity and zone.

and denied to the property in question.

property is located.
NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED thet the Anehaim City Plenning Con,mission does hereby deny subject
