A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION Or THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE N0. 2445 BE GRANTED
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified Petition fot Verience
from EDivIN J. ERICKSEN, 800 Pine Ridge Knoll, Fullerton, California 92632, Owner; SHELL ~IL
COMPANY, Post Office Box 4090, Anaheim, California 92~03, Agent of certain real property
situated in the City of Anahei.m, County oi- Orange, State of California, described as The
easterly 165 feet of the s~utherly 165 feet, measured along the side lines, of the southeast
quarter of the southeast quarter cf the southeast quarter of sect~on 19, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, in Che Rancho Los Coyotes, as per map recorded in buok 51 page 10 of Miscel-
laneous Maps, in the office of the county recorder oE said county.

WHEREAS, the City Planniug Commission did hold e public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Aneheim
on October 30, 1972, at 7.:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required
by law and in accordance with the provisions of tS~e Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.68, to hear and consider
evidence for and against seid proposed variance end to investigute and make findings and recommendations in connec-
tion therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commissinn, after due inspection, investigeti~n, end study made by itselE and in its behalf,
and aEter due consideration of all evidence end reports offered et seid hearing, does find and determine the following
facts:
1. Thet the petitioner renuests variances from the Anaheim'Municipal Code ss follows:
a. SECTION 18.62.090 (B-1) - Maximum number of free-atanding siRnu. (1 permitted;

2. That the petitioner p roposes to erect a"self-serve" sign in addition to an existing
free-standing sign.
g, That there are exceptional or extraordinary circumstcnces or canditions appliceble to the prope:ty involved
or to the intended use of tye property that do not apply generally to the property or class of use in the same vicinity
and zone.
4., Thet the requested variance is necessary fot the preservatian and enjoyment of e substantial property right
possessed by other property in the ~eme vicinity and zone, and denied to the property in question.

(4) That Condition Nos. 1, 2 and 3, above mentioned, shall Le complied with prior to
the commencement of the activity authorized under this resolution, or prior to the time that
the building permit is Issued. or within a period of one year from the date hereof, whichever
occurs £irst, or such furt:~er time as the Planning Commission may grant.
(5) That adequate clearance of exiating electrical lines shall be provided as required
by the Electrical Division, Department of Public Ucilities, and [he State of Ca4ifornia G.O.
95.
(6) That subject property shall be developed subatantially in accordance with plans
and specifications on file with the City of Anaheim marked Exhibit Nos. 1, 2 and 3 provided,
however,-that landscaping ahall be in conformance with Code requirements.
