A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COP4IIGSION
OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM RECOiASENbING TO THE CiTY COUNCIL
t7F THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT GENERAL PLAN
AMENDMENT N0. 223-A BE APPROVED
WHEREAS, tl~e City Council of thc City of Anaheim did adopt a General Plan by
Resolution No. 69R-644 showing the general deacription and extent of land uses taithin
Che City and indicating the present belief of the Council as to possible future devel-
opment and redevelopment of land within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Co~isaion of the City of Anaheim did receive a verified
Petition Eor Reclassification Na. 71-72-44, which petition has implicationa on policiea
as expressed on said General Plan; and
WHEREAS, in addition to the notice of the hearing on said Reclassification, notice
wae also given regarding the consideration of an amendment to the General Plan in the
general location and vicinity of subject property of said Reclaesification; and
WHEREAS, the CiCy Planning Commiasion did hold a public hearing in the City Hall
in rhe City of Anaheim, on May 1, 1972, at 7:30 o'clock P.M.,notice of said public hear-
•Lng having been duly given as required bp law and in accordance with the provieions of
the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and againat said Amendment
to the General Plan, and said prop~sed Petition for Reclassiflcation to investigate and
make findings and recommeadations in connection therewiCh, and
WHER~AS, said Commission after due inspection, investigation, and study made by it-
seif and in its behalf, and afCer due conaideration of aIl evidence and reporte offered
at said hearing, DOES HEREBY FIND
1. That evidence was preaented at said hearing which justifies the City Pianning
Commission's recommending to the CiCy Council a chenge in the present general
description and extent of land uses in the area as followe: An irregularly
shaped area of land consisting of approximately 652 acres l4cated generally
south of Santa Ana Can~on Road between'Ariaheim Hills Road and Wetr Canyon,and
extending sou~heYly to approxim8tely the ridge line of the Santa Ana Mountains
separating the cities of Anaheim and Orange•
That Exhibits presented by the land developers encompassing property in General
Plan Amendment No. 123-A do conetitutp an acceptable all•ernative Co current
policies as i1lusCrated on the General l...in.
NOW, 'i'HLREFORL', BE IT RESOLVED thaC the City Flanning Commission of the City of
Anaheim does hereby recommend to Che City Council of the City of Anaheim tt~at subject
General Plan Amendment be approved on the basis- of the aforementioned findings, and
in accordance with Exhibits presented by L•he land developers.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved y e this lth day of May, 1972.
