A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLkNNING COMNISSION OF'I'HE C1TY OF ANAHEIM
THAT PETITION FOR VARIANCE N0. 2548 BE '~GRANTED
WHLREAS, the City Planning Cemmission of the City of Maheim did receive a verified Petition for Variance from
JEFFERoON INVESTMENTS AFFILIAI'ES, 201 West Dyer Road, Suite B, Santa Ana, California
92707, Owner; ROBERT GORDON, Southcoast Graphics, i001 East Elm Street, Fullerton,
California 92631, Agent of certa'in real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
Cour.ty of Orange, State of California~as described :n Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and referred te herein as though set forth in full
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
September 17 , 1973 at 2:00 o'clock p.m., notice.of said public hearing having been duiy ~iven as requi:ed by law and
in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.68,to hear and consider evidence for and againstsaid
proposed variauce and to investigate and make findings apd recommendations in connection therewitli; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, afrer due inspection, investigation, and study made by itsclf and in its behalf, and after due
consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find and determine the following facts:
I. Thatthepetitionerrequests variances from the Anaheim Municipal Code as follows to con-
struct two free-sbanding (monument type) signs on sebject property:
a. SECTION 18.62.045 - Tvaes of siqn,(free-standing-monument sign not
permitted in R-A zone; free-standing- monument
sign with 0 feet height proposed).
b. SECTION 18.62.045~c) - F1ar.im~m area of sign,(20 square feet permitted;
36 square feet prc;~osed in the R-A zone)

2. That the proposed it!ee-standing signs are hereby granted on the basis that the
hosPital requires identification, and the proposed signing would not be detrimental to
the concepts of the SC, SCENIC CORRIUOR OVERLAY, ZONE.
3, That the granting of the` proposed free-standing signs shall not i~e construed as
establishing a precedent for similar requests in the SC Zone since each proposal shall be
considered on its own irwrits.
4. That there are exceptional or extraordinary circumstances or conditions applicable
to the property involved or to the intended use of the property that do not apply generally
to the property or class of use in the same vicinity and zone.
