A RESOLUTIUN OF THE CITY PLANNING COAiMISSION OF THE CITY 0;' ANAHEIM
THAT PETITIpN FOR VARIANCE N0. 2619 _ gE GRANTED
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of flneheim did receive a verified Petition for Verience
from WEYERHAEUSER COMPANY, TACOMA, WASHTNGTON 984U1 (Owner); and WEYERHAEUSER COMPANY,
Attn: M.L. SORBER, Manager, P.O. Box 109, Anaheim, California 92805 (Agent) o£ certain
real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of Californis, as
described in Exhibi.t "A" attached hereto and referred to herein as though set forth in full
; and
~VHr.REAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim
on July 8, 1974, at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of said public heering having been duly given es required
by law and in accordance with the pmvisions of the Maheim Municipal Code, Chepter 18.68,to hear and consider evi•
dence for end againsf said proposed variance end to investigate and make findin~s end recommendetions in connection
therewith; and
WHERGAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation, and study mede by itself ~nd in its behelf,
and after dce ~rnnsideration of all evidence and reports offered et said hearing, does find end detAcmine the following
facts:
1. That rhe petitioner requests .~he following variance froui the Anaheim Municipal Code, to
construct a frc~~standing sign:
SECTION 18.62.090-B(5) - Permitted location (22 feet from side property line
required; S feet proposed)
2. Thet there ace exceptional or extraordinary circumstances or conditions applicable to the property involved
or to the intended use of the property that do not apply generally to the property or class of use in the same vicinity and
zone.
3. T'hat the requested variance is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of a substantial property right
possessed by other property in the same vicinity and zane, and denied to tl~e property in question.
4. That the requested verience wiil not be meterially detrimentel to the public welfare or injurious to the proQ-
erty or improvements in such vicinity and wne in which the property is located.
5. That no one appeared at said public hearing in opposition and no correspondence
was received in opp~+sition to aubject petition,
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACz REPORT FINDING:
That the Director of Development Services has determined that the proposed activity falls
within the definition of Section 3.01, Clasa 2 of the City of Anaheim Guidelines to the
• Requirements for an Environmental Impact Report and is, therefore, categorica'l1y exempt
from the requirement to file an EIR.
