THAT PETITION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did ceceive a verified Petition for Conditional Use Permit
Gom BARBARA GILLIAM, 120 Gillis Place, Playa del Rey, California 90291 (Owner); FACIFIC
OUTDOOR ADVERTISING COMPANY, Attn: Jay Kingry, 1740 Narva Street, Los Angeles, California
gp031 (Agert) of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, described as Lots 26 to 30, ir,clusive, in Block A of the Center Tract
as shown on a map recorded in Book 14, page 13 of.M,iscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California
;and
WHEREAS, the City Plunning Commission did hold a public hearing in the City Hall in the City of AnaheIm on
Ju ly 8, 1974, at 2; 00 o'clock p.m., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in
accordancc with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipa] Code, Chapter 18.64, to hear and consider evidence for and against said
proposed conditional use and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission; after due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its behalf, and after due
consideration of all cvidence and reports offered at said hearing, does find and detcrm'rne the following facts:
1. That the proposed use is properly one for which a Conditional Use Permit is authorized by Code Seet i on 18.64. 020 (3-f),
to wit: Fermit the continued use of two (2) existing billboards, with waiver of:
SECTION 18.63.~30(a) - Permitted location (Billboards not permitted in the center
city area)
2. That the Planning Commission determined that this conditional use permit should be
granted for a period of one (]) year, retroactive f.o April l, 1974 and to expire on April l,
1975, at the end of which time the biliboards shall be removed from the property.
3, ?hat the agent far the petitioner stipulated that he had the authority to bind for and
on behalf of the petitioner and that, in the event the Community Redevelopment Agency acqu,ired
the subject property fo~- redevelopment,"all rights to severance~. and/or any other damages for
removal of the billboards are hereby waived.
4 Tliat the proposed use will not advcrseiy affect the adjoining land uses and the growth and development of tlie area in
which it is proposed to be located.
5,That the size and sliapc of the site proposed for the use is adequate to allow the full development of the proposed usc in a
manner not detrimental to the particular area nor to the peace, health, safety, and general welfarc of ihe Citizens of thc City of
Maheim.
6.That the grantingof the Conditional Use Permit under the conditions imposed, if any, will not be detrimental to the peace,
health, safety, and general welfare of the Citizens of the Ciry of Anaheim.
7. ThaY ~o one appeared at said public hearing in opposition and one (1) letter was
received in opposition to subject petition.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FINDING:
That the Director of Development Services has determined that the proposed activity falls
within the definition of Section 3.01, Class 3 of the City of Anaheim Guidelines to the
Requirements for an Environmental lmpact Report and is, therefore, categorically exempt from
the requirement to file an EIR.

NOW, THEFtEFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Plenning Commission doeo hereby grant subject
Petition Eor Conditionel Use Permit, upnn the following canditions which ece hereby found to be a necessery prerequisite
to the proposed use of the subject property in ocder.to presecve the sefety end generel welfare of the Citlzens of the
City of Aneheim:
(1) That subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance with plans
and specifications on file with the City of Anaheim marked 'cxhibit No. 1.
(2) That the owner(s) shall dedicate to the City of Anaheim a 25-foot property line
return for street purposes within a period of sixty (60) days hereof.
(3) That tiiis conditional use permit is granted for a period of one (1) year,
retroactive to April l, 1974 and to expire on April 1, 1g75, at which time the billboards
shall be removed from the subject property.
(4) That, in the event the Community Redevelopment Agency acquires the subject
property for redevelopment, prior to expiration of this conditional use pcrmit, all rights
to severance damages for removal of the billboards are hereby waived, as stipulated to by
the petitioner.
