INTERSTATE CORP6RATIUN, 6922 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, California 90028, Owners;
GREG S. GEORGE, Real ~state Representative, Franchise Realty Interstate Corporation,
6922 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, California 90028, Agent of certain real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and referred to herein as [hough set fdrth in full; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City Hall in thc City of Anaheim on
January 21, 1974, at 2:00 cs'clock p.m., notice of said public hcaring having becn duly given as required by law and
in accordance w~ith the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.68, to hear and consider evidence for and against said
proposed variance and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commissiun, aftcr due inspection, investigation, and study made by itself and in its behalf, and aftcr due
consideration of all evidence and reports ofCered at said hearing, does find and dctermine the following facts:
1. That the petitioner requests the follawing variances from the Anaheim Municipal Code, to es-
tahlish A tecond free-standing sign:
a. SECTION 18.62.090(B-1) - Maximum permitted number of free-atandin~ siqns,
(One free-standing eign permitted; two free-atanding
signs proposed)
b, SECTIOId 18.62.~90 B-1 - Minimum distance between free-standinR sikns.
(300 feet required; 290 fe~et proposed)
c. SECTION 18.62.090(B-4-b) - Mgximum area of free-standinR siQn. (60 square
feet~per fhce~permitted; 99 aquare feet__per •.

d. SECTION 18',62.090(5) - Location of free-standing si~n. (Middle 20% re-
quired; middle 20% not proposed)
2.' That Waiv"e'Ps 1-a, 1-b and i-d, above-mentioned, are hereby granted on the basis
that the proposal is unique, as illustrated by the plans and the ~iize and shape of the land;
and, further, that the petitioner demonsttrated that a hardship would be created if said
waivers were not granted.
3. That ths petitioner stipulated to withdrawal of Wniver 1-c, above-menCioned.
4. 'ihat the petitioner stipulated Co "right turn only" for traffic exiting from the
subject property onto Anaheim BouYevard.
5. That there are exceptional or extraosdinary circumstances or conditions applicable
to the prooerty involved or to Che intended uae of thP property, as granted, that do not ~
apply generallq to the property or class of use in the same vicinity and zone.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FINDING:
That the P1anning Cormnission, in connection with an Exemption Declaration Status request,
finds and determines that the proposal wauld have no significant environmental impact and,
therefore, recommends to the City Council that no Environmental Impact Statement is neceasary
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby
grant in part sub~ect Petition for Varience, upon the following conditions which nre hereby
found to 'be a necessary prerequisite to the proposed use of the subject property in order to
q+x'eaerve tf~e saf.ety and general welfare of the Citizens of the City of Anaheim:
(1) That ~he owner(s) of subject property shall pay tu the City of Anaheim the sum of
$2.00 rar fr~nt foot along Anaheim Boulevard for atreet lighting purposes.
(2) That subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance with plans
an~ npecificationa on file with the City of Anaheim marked Exhibit Nos. 1 and 2.
(3) That a sign reading "Right Turn Only" shall be installed at or near the inter-
=estion of subject property and Anaheim Bouleyard, as approved by the City Engineer.
(4) That Condition No..l, above-mentioned, ahall be complied with prior to the com-
mencement of the activity authorized under this resolution, or prior L•o the time that the
butlding pe~it is issued, or within a period of one year from date hereof, whichever occurs
firat, or such further time as the Planning Commission may grant.
(5) That Condition Noe. 2, 3 and 4, above-mentioned, shall be complied with prior to
final building and zoning inspections.
