A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT GENERAI~
PLAN AM:NDMENT N0. 135 BE APPROVED AMENDING THE C~RCULATION ELEMENT
OF THE GENERAL PLAN THERETO
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City
Nall in the City of Anaheim on December 23, 1974, no*_tce cf said publtc hearing
having been duly given as requlred by law and in accordance with the provisions
of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against
said Amendment to the General Plan No. 135; to investlgate and make findings
and recommendations in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commissi;~~, after due inspection, investigation, and study
made by itself and in its h,ehalf, and after due cons(deration of all evidence
and reports offered at said hearing, did find and determine the following facts:
1, That General Plan Amendment No. 135 proposes to show amended alignment
changes in classification and deletions of some portions of several
proposed arterials in the Anaheim Hills area; '
2. That the Circulation Element of the Anaheim G~eneral Plan presently
shows proposed alignments which upon more pre~aise preliminary studfes
appear to be better sutted in different topographical areas, tn order
to~minimize grading; and
3, That the County of Orange is presently preparing a General Plan
Amendment to tne County Circulation Element which includes the changes
' proposed by this amendment. The revisions are:
a, Revised alignment of Meats Avenue
b. Revised classification and alignment of Via Excollo
c. Dcletion of proposed Euca~yptus and Coal Canyon Road (county area)
d, Adoption of alignment and classification of proposed Monte Vista
Drive (county area)
WHEREAS, at said public hearing on December 23. 1974, the Planning Commission
inadvertently failed to take action regardin9 the Environmental Impact Report
Status for said General Plan Amendment 40, .135 and, subsequently, on January 6,
1975, satd Commission rescinded their Resolution No. PC7b-243 recommendtng approval
of said General Plan Amendment; and
WHEREAS, on January 6, 1975, the Plannfng Commisslon did censide~ the
Environmental impact Report Status for General Plan Amendment No. 135 and makes the
following statement;
That the Planning Commission recommends to the City Council that
the subJect proJect be exempt from the requirement to prepare an
Environmental Impact Report pursuant to the provisions of the
California Environmental Quality Act.
NOW, THEREFOP.E, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Planning Commisslon of the City
of Anaheim does hereby recommend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
General Plan Amendment No. 135 be approved on the basis of the aforementioned findings.
