et the City Hall in the City of Anaheio on June 7, 1976, at 1:30 p.m., no•~iae of
said publio hearing having beon duly given as required by law and in accordnnce with
the provisions of the Anaheim Muniaipal Code, Chapter 18.03, to hear and coi~sldF~r
e~~idetice for and against said proposed conditional use and to investigate and make
findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and
WI~REAS, said Comma.ssion, after due inspection, im~ostigation and study made
by itself and in its behalf, and after due aonsideration of a11 evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, does find and dotermine the followi.7g facts:
1. That the proposed use is properly one for which a conditional use permi.t is
nuthorized by Code 5ection 18.45.050.160, to wit: pormit expansion of an existing
motel.
2. Thai ci~e proposed use wi11 not adversoly affect tha ad,joining land uses and
the growth snd development of the area in whiah it is proposed to be located.
3. That the size and shape of the site proposad for the use is adeqvate to allow
the Pull development of the proposed use in a manner not detrimental to the particular
area nor to the peace, health, saPety and general welfare of the Citizens of the City
of Anaheim.
4, That the granting of the Conditional Use Pormiti under the conditions imposed
will not be detrimental to the peace, health, s¢fety ond general welfare of the Citizens
of the City of Ansheim.
5. That the petitioner stipulated to the removal of any i'llegal signing on the
subject property, and that tho remaining signing will oonform with Code requirements.
6. ThRt the petitioner stipuleted to providing trash storage areas in eocordance
with the rsquirements oY the City.

of deposit, letter of credit, or cash. in an amount and form satisfactory to the Cit~•
of Anaheim, shall be posted with the (iity to guaresntee the instaZlation o~ street
lighting £eailities alozig hLanchester Avenue, as stipulated to by the petitioner.
8. That the Planni.ng Commissici, does hereby determine that, unless the petitioaer
makes written tspplicBtion to the City Enginoer and receives a waiver of the require-
ments to install sidewalks, sidewalks shall be installed alon3 tdanchester Avenue as
required by the City Engineor.
9. That no one indicated their presence at said public hearing in opposition; and
no correspondence was reaeiv:~d in oppositior to aubjact ~,etition.
ENNIRONI~ENTAL IMPACT REPORT FINDING: That the Anaheim City Planning Commission
does hereby recomr~end to i.he City Council of the City of Anaheim that tho subjoat project
be exempt from tho requirement to prepare an environmental impact raport, pur:;sant to
the provisions of the Ce~lifornia Environmental Quelity Act.
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT AESOLVED thet the Anaheim City Planning Commis~ion doss
hereby grant subject Petition for Cc.nditional Use Permit, upon tne follow~ng conditian~
which are hereby found tca bo a necossary prerequisite to the propoaod use of the subject
property in order to preserve the saiety arld general welfare of the Citizens of the
City of Anaheim:
1. That the ovmer(s) oY subject property shall deed to the City of Anaheim e
strip of land forty-five (45) fea, in width from the cente:•line of the ~treet elon3
Manohester Avenue for street widen=ng purposes.
2. That sidewalks shall be installed along Manchester Avenue ns required by the
City Engineer and in accordance with standard plans and specifications on file in the
Office of the City Engineer, unless the patitioner is granted a waiver by the City
Engineer following a written application therefor.
3. That a bond, cortifica'Le of deposit, letter of credit, or cosh, ir, an nmount
and form satisfsatory to the City of Anaheim,shall ba posted with thc~ CitS to gu~rantee
the installation of street lighting fecSli.ties along lJanchester Avonue, as required by
the Directar of Public Utilities and in accordance with st¢ndard plans and specifications
on file in~the Office of the Director of Public Utilitias.
4. That thu owrn r(s) of sub,ject property ahall pay to the City oY Anaheim the sum

5. That trash storage areas sha11 be provided in accordance with appz•oved plai~s
on Pile with the OPfice of the Direator oY Public Wurks, as sti.pulatad ta by the
petitioner.
6. 'Phat appropriate water, asses~ment fees, as datermined by the DirecAor of
Publia Utilities, shall be paid ~o the City of Anaheim prior to i;he issuance of a
building permit. ~
7. That the existing struatures shall be brought up to the minimum stnndards of
thc~ City of P.nahein, including the Uniform Building, Plumbing, Electrica:L, Housing,
Mechaniccl and Fire Code~, a~ adopted by tha CitV of Anaheim; and any nocessary pormita
shall be obtained.
9. That sub,ject property shall bo devoloped substantiell;/ in accordanca with
planr and speciPications on file with the Cit~i of Anahoim marked Exhibit No. 1; provided,
however, that all sign~ shall be in eacordance with CodP 3tandard~, as stipulatod to by
the petitioner.
9. That Condition Nos. 1, 3 and 4, above-mentioned, shall bo compl.ied with nrior
to `.he aommenoemert of the activity authorized under this resolution, or prior to the
time that the building permit is i~sued, or ~~ithin a period of one (1) year from daie
