A RESOLUTION QF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNIMG COMMISSIDt!
FINDING Tf1AT THE PROPOSED PURCHASE OF THE RAMON PERALTA ADOBE
AS AN HISTORICAL SITE BY TfIE ORANGE COIINTY HARBORS, Bc'ACHES AND
PARKS DISTRICT IS I'J COIJFORMANCE 4!!TH THE CITY OF APIAHEIM'S
ADOPTED GENERAL PLAtd.
WIiEREAS, the Orange County Harbors, Beaches and Parks District proposes to
purchase the Ramon Peralta Adobe for preservation as an Historical Site, said Adobe
being located in the Santa Ana f,anyon area near Fairmont Boulevard and Santa Ana Canyori
Road, in the City of Anaheim; and .
WHCREAS, the Government Code of the State of California, Section 65402, provides
in part that a local agency, such as the Orange County Harbors, Beaches and Parks
District, shall not acquire ~eal property nor disP°until the locati nPepurposerandn
struct a public bullding or structure fn any city,
extent of such activity has been reported upon as to conformity with the adopted
generai plan applicable thereto; and
1JHEREAS, the proposed purchase has been reviewed by the Anaheim City Planning
Commission in accordance with Section 65402 of the fovernment Code of the State of
California, and the proposed project is found to be in accordance with the objectives
of the Conservation and Open Spac~ Element of the City of Anaheim's adopr_ed General
Plan which encourages the preservation of open space and recreation a,-eas related to
cultural and historical attractions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission
does hereby find and determine that the proposed purchase of the Ramon ~eralta Adobe
as an Historical Site by the Harbors, Beaches and Parks District is in conformance
with the City of Anaheim's adopted General Plan.
TIIE FOREGOII~G RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this 19th day of
