2. That the above-mentioned v~aivers are hereb,y denied on the basis that
the ~etitionFr did not demonstrate that a hardship would be created if sai~i araivers
were not granted; that the si9ns ~rere unlav+fully erected; and, furthermore, if saicl
~iaivers were granted, an undesirable orecedent would be set for futurp similar
requests.
3. That the petitioner stipulated to removing the unlauiful siqns fron the
subject property within four (4) days of the date of th9s resolution.
4. Tiiat there are no exceptional or extraordinary circumstances or
conditions applicable to L•he propertY involved or to the intended use of the nronerty
that do not apply generally to the property or class of use in the same uicinity and
zone.
5. That the requested variance is not necessary for the preservation and
enjoyment of a substantial property right possessed by other pro~erty in the same
vicinity and zune, and denied to tlie property in question.
6. That thz re~uested variance will be materially detrir!ental to the
public welfare or injurious to tiie pr.~perty or improvements in such vicinit.Y and zone
in which the pr~perty is located.

oppositon; ho~aever, two (2) letter w2re rece9ved in opposition to subject petition.
ENVIROiJMENTAL I7IPACT REPORT FINDING:
That the Director of the Planning Qepartmenfi has determined that the
proposed activity falls within the definition of Section 3.01, Class 11, of the City
of Anaheim Guidelines to the Requirements f~r an Environm?ntal Imaact Reoort and is,
therefore, categorically exempt from the requirement to file an EIR.
NOI~I, THEREFORt, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission
does iiereby deny subject Petition for Variance on the basis of the aforementioned
findings.
