WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim on May 10, 1976, at 1:3~ P.m., notice uf :aid public
hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accurdaiice with the
provtsions af the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.03~ to hear' a~d consider
evidence far and against said proposed conditional use and to investigate and make
findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS~ said Commission, after due inspcction, investigation a~d study made
by itself and in its behaif~ and after due consideration of all evider~ce and reports
offered at said hearing, does i'ind and determine the following facts:
1, That the proposed use is properly one for which a canr~tional use
permit is authorized by Code Section 18.87.023, to wit: permit truck and trailer
rentals from a service station site.
2, That the request to have rental truclcs ancf traile~rs at the subJect
location shall be granted for a maximum of six (6) trucks varying in size from 12 to
3G-feet lon~, and for seventeen (17) trai;ers, varying in size •From 6 to 17-feet
long, subJect to the stipul~tion of the petitioner to provide concrete wheel stops
adJacent to the property lincs for said vehicles to discouraae tlie p~>ssibility of
rental vehicles being parked off-site.
~. That the Planning Lommission does hereby determine tl~at Fainted lines
to desigr~aea the parking spaces for the rental vehicles, as specifie~d by Code Section
1$,67,023,020, shall not be required on thc basis that the sixes cf the rental
vehicles vary; however, the petitioner stipulated to maintaining an ordFrly display
of said vehictes.
4. That the proposed use will not adversety affect the a~I.Joini~g land uses
and the growth and development of the area in which it is proposed to he located.
S, That the size and shape of the site proposed for the use is adequate to
allow the full development of the pro~osed use tn a manner not deirimer;al to the
particu{ar area nor to the peace, health, safety. ancf ge~eral welfare of i;he Citizens
of thc City of Anaheim.
6. That the granting of the Conditional Use Permit under the conditions
imposed, if any, will not be detrimental t~ the peace, health, safety a~d general
welfare of the Citizens of the City of Anah~tm.
7, That one (1) person app~ared at said public he~rinn in oppotiti~n; and
no correspondence was received in opposition to subJect petition.

E~~VIRO~JMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FIhIDING:
That the Director of the Planning De~artment has determined that the
proposed activity fatls within the definition of Section 3.~~, Class 1~ of the City
of Anaheim Guidelines to the Requirements for an Environmental Impact Report and is,
thsrefore, categorically exempt from the requirement to file an EIR.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission
does h~reby grant sub~iect Petition for Conditional Use Permit, upon the followinci
conditiens which are hereby found to be a necessary prerequisite to the nroposed use
of the subject property in order to preserve the safety and general welfare of Y.he
Citizens of the City of Anaheim:
1. That sub,ject pro~erty shall be developed substantially in accordance
aiith plans and specifications on file with the City of Anaheim marked Exhibit No. 1;
provided~ however, that concrete wheel stops shall be provtded adjacent to the
property lines for the rental vehicles, as stipulated to by the petitioner, and thP
display area shall be adjacent to interior property lines and shall not encr~ach into
any required building setback areas adJacent to Anaheim Boulevard and Ball Road.
2. That this conditional use permit is granted for a maximum of six (~)
trucks varying in size from 12 to 3~'feet long of the to-io-axle type which can be
opetated with a Class 3 driver's license, and seventeen (17) trailers, varyin9 in
size from 6 to 12-feet long.
