ADOPT11~6 At~D RECOMMENDINf; TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AIJAHEI"1 ADOPTION OF A PRECISE ALIr,NMENT OF
MIRALOMA AVENIIE BETWEE~~ FEE ANA STREET AND LAKEVIE47 AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the City of Placentia has submitted a written request to the City
of Anaheim concerning the adoption of a precise alignment of Miraloma Avenue between
Fee Ana Street and Lakeview Avenue, said alignment :~avin~ heen approved "in concept"
by the City C~uncil of the City of Placentia; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did hold a public hearin9 in
the City liall in the City of Anaheim on May 10, 1976, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said
public hearing having heen duly given as requlred by law and in accordance with the
provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and
against said precise alignment, and to investi9ate and make findings and
recommendations in connection there~aith; and
Wf1EREAS, said Commission after due inspection, investigation, and study made
by itself and in its behalf and a~ter due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, DOES HEREBY FIt~D:
1. Plans developed Jointly by staffs of the cities of Anaheim and
Placentia propose the development of the extension of Miraloma Avenue between Fee Ana
Streei and Lakeview AVenue, as depicted on the circulation elements of P,naheim,
Placentia and County of Orange.
2. Portions of prop~sed Miraloma Avenue are located in Placentia. In
order for the Placentia portions to properly altan with the portion in Anaheim, a
more specific alignment adopted by Anaheim is required for planr.in9 purposes.
3, Numerous alternative solutions to the alignment have heen studied hy
the two city staffs.
1~, Ttie proposed Miraloma Avenue alignment to the west (in Placentia) was
determined by the City of Placentia to be an appropriate compromise hetoreen the
desiras of the affected property owners and optimum roadway design, and was
tentatively adapted by that City follo~•ling public hearings on the matter.
5. That the proposal is in conformance with the Clty of Anaheim's adopted
Master Plan for Arterial Streets and Highways.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission
dcies hereby adopt and recommend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
adaption of "Exhibit A" in connection with the precise alignment of Miraloma Avenue
between Fee Ana StreeC and Lakeview Avenue, said exhihit being on file in the Office
of the Planning Department.
THE FOREGOIIJG RESOLUTION is signed and approved hy me this tOth day of
May, 1976.
