NHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did receive a verified
Petition for Conditional Use Permit from DOMINIC C. ETC}IAtlDY, ET AL, c/o ELDEN W.
BAII~DRIDGE, 2800 Sauth Main Street, Unit K, Santa Ana, California, 92707, owners, and
ELDEN W. BAIt~BRIDGE, 2$00 South Main Street, Unit K, Santa Ana, CallfornTa 92707, and
JOSEPH DONALDS011, 25800 Jeronlmo Road, ~100, Hission VieJo, Calffornla 926q1, agents,
of certain real property situated in the Ctty of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
Caltfornla, described as:

WHEREAS, the Ci[y Planning Commisslon did hold a public hearing at the City
Hall in the City of Anahetm on June 18, 1979, at 1:30 p.m., notice of sald publiC
hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the
provlsions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, Chapter 18.03, to hear and consider
evidence for and agalnst said proposed condttional use and to investigate and make
findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, satd Cormission, after due inspection, investigatlon and study made
by itseif and in i[s behalf, and af[er due consideration of a11 evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, does find and determine the foiSowing facts:
t. That the proposed use is properly one for which a conditional use
permit is authorized by Anaheim tiunicipal Code Section 18,03.030.010 and
18.61.050.450 to wit: to permit a gymnastic academy in the t1L (Industrial, Limiied)
Zone.
2. Thac the proposed use is hereby dented on the basis that the use would
not be compatible with the surrounding industrial uses and that the resultant traffic
would have an adverse (mpact o~ the existing traffic.

3. That the proposed use will adversely affect the adJoining land uses and
the growth and development of the area in which it is proposed to be located.
4. That che slze and shape of the si[e proposed for [he use ts not
adequate to aliow the fult development of the proposed use in a manner not
detrimental [o the particular area nor to the peace, health, safety, and generat
welfare of the Cittzens of the City of Anaheim.
5. That the granting of the Conditianal Use Permit w111 be detrimental to
the peace, health~ safety and general welfare of thc Cittzens of the City of Anaheim.
6. Thac the traffic generated by the proposed use will impose an undue
burden upon the streets and highways designed and improved to carry the traffic in
the area.
7, That no one indicated their presence at said publtc hearing in
opposition; and that no correspondence was received in opposition to the subject
petition.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT F111DING: That the Anaheim City Planning Comm(ssion has
reviewed the proposa to perm t~ a gymnastics academy in the HL (Industrial, limited)
Zone on a rectangularly-shaped parcel of land consisting of approximately 2.3 acres
located at the southeast corner of La Palma Avenue and Tustin Avenue, having
approximate frontages of 340 feet on the sout'~ side of La Palma Avenue and 291 feet
on the east side of Tustin Avenue, and does hereby approve thc Negatlve Declaration
from [he requiremen[ [o prepare an environmental impact report on the basis that
there would be no significant Individual or cumulative adverse environmentai impact
due to the approvai of this Negative Declaration since the Anahetm General Plan
designates the subJect property for general industrial land uses carimensurate with
the proposal; that no sensitive environmental impacts are involved in the proposal;
[ha[ the Initial Study submitted by the petittoner indicates no significant
indlvidual or cumulative adverse environmental impacts; and that the Negattve
Declaration subsLantiating the foregoing findings ts on ftle in the City of Anaheim
Planning Departme~t.
NOW, TtIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anahetm Lity Pianning Commission
does hereby deny subJect Petitton for Conditional Use Permit on the basis of the
aforementioned findings.
