4lHERFAS, the Anaheim Union Hiah School District proooses to dispose of
ppollo Junior Nigh Scheol, 1301 South Y,nott Street, a 13.F acre site located on the
west side of Knott Street approximatcly 655 feet south of the cent~rline of E3a11 Road
and Fremont Junior High School, 60& lJest Lincoln Avenue, a~hich consists of two
parcels: 6.17 acre school site having fronta~es on the south side of Lincoln ~venue
and the East side of Citron Street and a 9.?3 acre plavfield having frontages on the
south side of Broaci~~ay, on the north side of Santa Ana Street and the east side of
Citron Street; and
bIHEREAS; the Governnent Code of the State of California, Section ti51~~2.
requires that when a school district proposes to dispose ~f ~ site o-~ithin a City
which has an adopted general plan, the plannina anency havinq .jurisdiction shall
determtne if the dispasition is in conformance t•iith the general plan; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project of the Anaheim Union High School District has
been reviewed by the Anaheim City Planning Commission viithtn the context of Section
65402 of the California Government Code.
NOW, THEP,EFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED that the Anaheim Lity Planning Commission
does hereby find and determine that the proposed disposition of Apollo and Fremont
Junior High Schools is in conformance ~~~ith the City of Anaheim ~eneral Plan.
However, use of the sites f~r othPr than school uses would not be in conformance with
the General Plan and would require apProval of a General Plan Amendment.
