PC82-189
'~, ~°`~
1. That the proposed use is properly one for which a conditional
use permit is authorized by Anaheim Municipal Code Section 18.61.050.460 and
18.61.050.60~} to wit: To permit a 213-foot high radio transmitting tower
additian to an existing radio transmitting stati.on cvith waiver of:
SECTION 18.84.042.012 - Permitted antenna.
(Ground-mounted antenna prohibited;
one ground-mounted antenna proposed)
2. That the requested waiver is hereby granted on the basis that
there are four existing towers on surject property which have not had
detrimental effect on the surrounding properties; and on the basis that denial
would deprive subject property of a privilege being enjoyed by other
properties in the same zone and vicinity.
3. That the proposed use will not adversely affect the adjoining
land uses and the growth and development of the area in which it is proposed
to be located.
4. That the size and shape of the site proposed for the use is
adequate to allow the full development of the proposed use in a manner not
detrimental to the particular area nor to the peace, health, safety and
general welfare of the Citizens of the City of Anaheim.
5. Th~t the granting of the Conditional Use Permit under the
conditions imposed, if any, will not be detrimental to the peace, health,
safety and general welfare of the Citizens of tne City of Anaheim.
6. That the traffic generated by the proposed use will not impose
an undue burden upon the streets and highways designed and improved to carry
the traffic in ~he area.
7. That no one indicated their presence at said public hearinq in
opposition; znd that no correspondence was received in opposition to the
subject petition.
EiQVIRONMENTAL IMPACT FINDING: That the Anaheim City Planning
Commission has reviewed the proposal to permit a 213-foot high radio
transmitting tower addition to an existing radio transmitting station with
waiver of permitted antenna on a rectangularly-shaped parcel of land
consisting of approximately 5.43 acres, having a£rontage of approximately 359
feet on the west side of Hancock Street, and further described as 1313 Hancock
Street; and does hereby approve the Negative Declaration fxom the raquirement
to prepare an environmental impact report on the basis that there would be no
significant individual or cumulative adverse ei~vironmental i:npact due to the
approval of this Negative Declaration since the Anaheim General Plan
designates the subject property for general industrial land uses commensurates
with the proposal; that no sensitive environmental impacts are invol:~ed in the
proposal; that the Initial Study submitted by the petitioner indicates no
significant individual or cumulative adverse environmental. impacts; and that
the Negative Declaration substantiating the foregoing findings is on file in
the City of Anaheim Planning Department.
