OF A~dqHEIM ADOPTION OF Atl AMEPIDME"IT T~ THE LAND USE ELEMEDIT OF

WfiEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anahetm did adopt the Anaheim
General Pian !~y Resolution IJo, ~9P,-oh4, showinn the genPral description and extent of
possible future development within the City; and
WNEREAS, ~ursuant to a request from the Anaheim Union High School District
for a General Plan Amendment Study~ City staff prepared a General Plan Amendment for
an area consisting of 9.3 acres bounded on the north by Broad~~ay, east bv the Library
and Police Department, south by Santa Ana Street, and west by Citron :~r-.:t; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department deemed it approprlate, pursuant to the
provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act, to preoare Environmental
Impact Reoort tJo. 21E9 in connection with the General Plan Amendment for the foregoing
area under consideration; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Plannina Corttimission did hold a publTc hearing at
the Anaheim Civtc Center, Council Chamber, 2Q~ South Anaheim 9oulevard, on January
?5. 1932, at 1:3~ p.m., notice of sald public hearino havina been duly given as
required by law and in accordance wtth the arovisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code,
to hear and consider evidence for and against said Amendment to the Anaheim General
Plan and to investigate and mal:e findings and recommendations in connectian
therewith; and said public hearing having been continued to the meettna of February
22, 1932; and
WNEREAS~ said Commission, after due consideration. insoection, investigation
and study made by itself, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing~ DOES HEREBY FIND:
1. That evidencp was presertted whFch substantiates the need for an
amendment to the Anaheim General Plan, and it ts deemed appropriate that "Exhlbit A"
be adopted, designating the entire area for Low-MedTun Density Residential land uses.
2. That an agreement regarding the relocation of the Police Department
heliport shall be reached between the City of Anaheim and Pacesetter Homes, Inc.,
prior to final consideration of this General Plan AmendmenL f~y the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that after considerin~ Environmental Impact
Report No. 249 for General Plan Amendment No. 168 for deslgnation of the Fremont
School Site South Playfie)d for La•~-Medium Density Residentlal land uses, and
revie~ving evidence both written and oral~ presented to supplement EIR No, 249~ the
Planning Commission finds that EIR No, 24~ is tn compltance wlth the California
Environmental Quallty Act and wtth the Clty and State EIR Guidelines; that potential
environmental impacts may be reduced to an insignificant level by conformance wFth
City plans, policies and ordinances; and that specific implementation measures
concerning relocation of the Police Department heliport operation and provision of
recreational facilities for the neighborhood should be resolved prior to approval of
development plans; and therefore, based upon such informatTon, tfie Planning
Cortenission recommends that the City Council certify EIR No. 2~h,

BE ~T FURTHEP, RESOLVED that, pursuant to the foreooing findinos, the Anaheim
City Planning Commission does hereby adopt and recommend to the City Council of the
City Anaheim adontion of General Plan Amendment No. 1E?, Exhihit "A",
